Bah! it won`t let me watch the video cos i`m at work and its blocked :( I`ll have to have a nosy later.

    I`ve been a bit of a piggy today :o

Bacon scramblies and mushrooms for brekkie, i ate lots more bacon than normal as it needed eating up, for dinner i`d brought pastrami and cheese but nipped in Marks and Sparks and found some smoked bavarian cheese slices and i bought a pack and then ate all of it followed by 4 squares of choccy

Mazzers - i`ve been making the breadmachine recipe for bread but only adding just under a tablespoon of splenda otherwise it tastes too sweet.

Its taken me 40 mins to type this lol as i keep getting interrupted so sorry if it seems a bit disjointed lol

    Catch ya later peeps.

Great bread, very light and airy, only took an hour on super rapid too.
Although it rose really well loaf is a bit small, didnt quite fill the bread tin, wasn't much dough and cooked to one side of the pan.. looks like a cottage loaf, not sure if i got the right size 'tablespoon'

Might try to adjust the recipe with nut flour so it's less linseedy

I used half a teaspoon of sugar mixed in with the yeast and warm water to get it activated beforehand and only put a tsp of splenda which i may leave out next time as i assume it's to get the yeast going.

Have you worked out the carbs per loaf SD?

    Hi peeps

just popped in for a quick catch up after an unhealthy tea of hotdogs and then some pastrami - might be tempted by a bit more choccy.

I`m bushed now and need to be up early too:eek:

Mazzers - When i made the bread i was trying out different spoons etc for size and ended up with a wreck the first time i made it, it went straight in the bin lol, i bought some measuring cups from the supermarket. They were only about £3 and since then i`ve just used level measures in the cups from the US measurements on the site and its been great.

I did find a recipe that was 20 carbs for the entire loaf but can`t find it again, i`ll keep looking though. This one is fine tbh, i`m just so glad that i found one that turns out ok.

  • Morning :)

Weigh day today &............. I've stayed the same as last Monday :o which means I've put a lb on overnight

I'm not too bothered about it (surprisingly) but I am curious as to why I haven't lost anything. I do still feel bloated so maybe something going on there. Will up the water intake & hopefully get out for a walk today.

    Hope everyone doing ok.

Hi peeps, not been so good all week, as i said, i'm ok in work but when i get in i make up for it.. anyway.. weighed this morning, crossed fingers that i'd only put on about 2lb and was amazed that i've lost half a pound :)

So back on the straight and narrow today :)

If anyone is interested, Tesco has a huge 800g bag of whole almonds for £2.99 (half price) they're called East End and are with the ethnic foods in my store, great for blitzing into almond flour etc. I paid £1.49 for a teeny bag the other day so are brilliant value.

Just had a lovely boiled egg sarnie, the bread is fab, not like real bread but neither is weightwatchers etc. It also toasts lovely so great for pate' and grilled cheese
  • Well done on the half lb off, mazzers, every little helps ;)I had a sneaky weigh this morning & my yo-yo lb is back off, not counting it though.

I'm wondering whether it's cheaper to buy a BM or a return ticket to Wales or Yorkshire to get my hands on this bread  I'm not craving bread but it does sound & look nice, maybe if I could smell it I'd be craving it.

Busy day ahead & I'm already hating it :(

    Happy LC days.

I do try the move on forget about it approach, and it does work, but sometimes a little taste opens the floodgates i'm afraid. Sometimes i just give in to the craving and start again next day.

I definitely fall into this category! I fell off the wagon last year, and the weight has piled back one. Back on track now though. I'm not going to weigh myself for a while as I need to just get on with it.

I don't know why I sabotage any efforts made, as I feel so much better when eating this way.

Thank you everyone, for the support offered on this thread. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Into week 3 and my weight has stalled already :( This cant be right as I need to lose 3 stone and have lost 7lbs so far,
Still craving and I'm sure alot of it is bad habits too.
    A typical days food

brekkie - 2 eggs and 3 cocktails saus as scrambled egg
snack - 2 celery sticks and peanut butter
lunch - prawns, green leaves, beansprouts, celery , blob of mayo
    snack - almonds
dinner - chicken wrapped in chorizo, mushroom stuffed with cheese, cheesy leeks, green beans
snack - small pack pork scratchings, square of dark chocolate

drinks - 3 cups of tea with milk and 1/2 tsp sugar, flavoured water(sucrose), water

Water is refusing to go down at the moment its sooooo broing and I know i'm not drinking enough (congestion hmmm....) so i switched back to flavoured water yesterday. I am a little and often person hence the snacks!

    Hi peeps

i daren`t get on the scales atm :o
Yesterday i ate a full giant bar of old jamaica choccy:o

Today i`ve been really good to make up for it though :D

Brekkie was 2 slices of lc bread and i made a sandwich with it so i had 3 slices of bacon and a sliced boiled egg, really enjoyed it.

Dinner was sliced boiled ham with sliced smoked bavarian cheese and 3 gherkins.

Tea was going to be roast pork and veggies but we`re off to the pub tonight as i`m on the late shift tomorrow so i`ll be having a mixed grill and two or three voddie and sodas. Shall do the pork tomorrow and then nuke it in the microwave at w*rk, there should be enough for the day after too so that gets me out of cooking for one day:D

The big challenge now is going to be beer
We did the pre Christmas stock up today and now have enough San miguel, guinness and pear cider to last for ages and i`ve also got about 40 bottles of wine to bottle. I did get my fave voddie and brandy too so not all bad news. My Christmas will start mid December when i have a weeks leave from w*rk because i will be working all over Christmas and the new year so won`t have chance to have a drink or nip out anywhere apart from the afternoon on the day itself.

I need to sort out the freezer and see if i can cram some cooked meat in there like i did last year, there`s nothing worse than not being able to get the stuff that you normally buy because everyone has gone crazy and bought lots of extras. I did this last year and it worked very well. The packages don`t take up much room in the freezer either and they defrost in the fridge overnight and are exactly the same as if they hadn`t been frozen :D

Right i`m off for a quick shower!

    Have a good night peeps:wave:
