Hi Nuttybabe - twas minihauk with the cramps question but i`m really glad that someone had the answer :A
I woke up a couple of nights ago screaming as i had cramp in one of my calves, i meant to look it up and then promptly forgot so thankyou very much, lo salt is now on my shpping list for this weekendquick question for a low carb newbie (though 1/2 a stone down in 10 days) - can I drink low calorie squash like 'robinsons no added sugar' ?? Probably not the best linky as mercola drives me crazy but plenty of info on aspartame here
I won`t have anything containing it in the house and hope that i can undo any damage caused by years of drinking fizzy carp in my teens.

Yaay welcome back mazzers
:D:D
Good to see you back & another "yes please" to the low-carb shake linkI'm like Sunny with about half a tub of my old stuff left, will need to check the use-by date but I'm not sure if I fancy it after all the time it's been sat there
Sunny, can I ask what you put in your cottage pie, pretty please?? I mean the liquid bit specifically (I don't really want to use gravy powder so wondered if you had an alternative that you use??) Any other hints & tips to make it tasty also gratefully receivedI have the swede ready & waiting to be microwaved & used as topping
No rush to reply as I'm not making it today.
Thinking of making the cauli pizza tonight - just a vegetarian version though. Better get started with it actually, as I seem to remember it took me ages to make last time.
Happy LC days everyone - so good to see this thread come back to life with oldies & newbies0 -

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Can you tell I'm pleased??? I can start again now, woohoo (but not until Monday as I'm away for the weekend and vodka may take a battering ......)
I'm off to check Mazzers' recipes at the beginning of the thread.0 -
Hi Sweet
for the cottage pie i fry the mince with a teeny bit of chopped onion and some schwartz bbq seasoning - again only a teeny bit. I also add water to it to continue cooking and then half an oxo. I cba thickening it most of the time but if i do i`ve got a tub of arrowroot in the cupboard. Just put plenty of butter and coarse ground black pepper into the swede and its lovely.
Have you got the takeaway secret book? If you have i can recommend the donner kebab recipe, i just mix it up and bake it in a loaf tin and eat it sliced with salad and its absolutely great when you fancy something tasty.
Nicka99 - i forgot to mention earlier well done  thats a great loss:j
Tonight for tea we are having chicken breasts stuffed with mozzarella and black pepper, wrapped in bacon and baked, think i`ll be doing leeks stir fried in butter and adding philly to the pan to make a sauce to go with them:D
The 2 or 3lb that i gained is gone again
Despite needing it as a crutch for the early shifts i`ve gone without the coffee for two days and now i`m back on track:D
There was a huge buffet at w*rk today as one of the girls retired, she is lovely and i will miss her, all i ate was the inside of a sausage roll and the meat from half a mini pork pie, i also ate a one inch square piece of chocolate brownie - how that for being good:D It was a fabby spread as well, one of the nicest that i`ve seen for a long time.
One of the bosses broke out 6 tubs of the M&S tubbed sweets and two huge boxes of biscuits too:eek: That was where the brownie came from!
I`m just off to polish me halo :A

EDIT - Just been told that we`re off to the pub :eek: Voddie and soda for me then :eek:Planning on starting the GC again soon0 -

Minihauk - vodka doesnt have carbs does it
i have found my new favourite snack. slices of cucumber with pate spread on it. got 200g from lidl for 69p (dont know if that is cheap, i assumed it was) only 3.5 carbs per 100g and i used less than 1carb worth for my snack.
these low carb shakes that you all have. do they have chocolate and can i heat it so have a hot chocolate? i really miss hot choc when the weather gets bad (especially when i put a bit of whisky in it)

Thank you Sunny
I've had so much chicken lately I'm in danger of growing feathers so a nice cottage pie will make a change - curious as to how you half an oxo cube though!! :rotfl:
I've seen the takeaway book mentioned on OS, I should get it really as I seem to remember it was really cheap on Amazon?? Maybe stick it on my Christmas list
Well done on getting rid of those pesky lbs & resisting temptation at the buffet
Well my cauli pizza was [STRIKE]bl00dy awful[/STRIKE] not very niceTook ages to make as well
Toppings were lovely, it was the base that just didn't work for me _pale_ Oh well.

Hmmmm, interesting idea  Yes, you can get chocolate protein shakes but no idea if they can be warmed up?? In theory it could work...
I used to have the Options hot chocolate drinks as an occasional treat on LC, think they were between 5-6g carbs each.0 -
