Like you sweetserendipity, I read that too, when I first purchased some, over two years ago, and honestly I've eaten LOADS of them but have NEVER come across any bits of bone!!

You do need to be prepared for their hardness though, but I find that that's a small price to pay for their deliciousness, and with my own zero carb diet (meat. fish and eggs) which is all soft stuff, I was really missing something hard and crunchy!!!!

Well today i brought to work 2 raw eggs and had in the fridge here already some cold cocktail sausages. so i made scrambled egg in the works microwave with chopped up sausage and it went down a treat. so thanks to all your suggestions i have a few things to try.
When i come off induction i have found a pancake recipe so will try that with some berries. i can't wait to have berries again!!
Also for tea i had aliasojo's chicken ( stuffed with cream cheese and garlic) nom nom! made one extra so thats in my salad today. Thanks aliasojo

    Hiya

I made a cheeseburger pie yesterday to have for breakfast. It was lovely. It made 6 portions. I browned some mince & onions (you can put in mushrooms) and put that in a foil lined dish. Let it cool. Then mixed 4 eggs and some double cream, added grated cheese, ham and olives. put that over the cooled mince and put peperoni, slices of tomato and cheese on top. cooked for around 30mins until golden brown. :D

I miss you all too. Can't you all just close your FB accounts and come back here full time?

alias, I just remembered I sent you a Happy Birthday message on FB, now I know why you ignored me :p

nutty, that sounds different, probably wouldn't add all of the ingredients *olives...yeuch* but will give it a try sometime, thanks :)

lindens, when you said about berries that reminded me about protein shakes - I used to have a low-carb shake (from Holland & Barrett) made with milk (there's a low-carb milk that for the life of me I can't remember the name of :o) or you could make it with water, frozen berries added & then all whizzed up with a stick blender - it went quite thick & tasted like icecream  Just thought that could be another portable breakfast idea if you don't mind 'sweet' things for brekkie ;)
  • I remembered the name of the milk - Lactofree - I've seen it in Tesco & the Co-op & you can get it chilled or longlife.

And the Holland & Barrett protein shake

There are loads of different protein shakes you can buy, this is just the one I had to give you an example.

I`d forgotten all about the shakes

I have half of a huge tub left over from ages ago and i keep forgetting that its in the back of the cupboard - think that i`ll start having that again very soon. It will help hugely on my days off when i cba to make myself something when i`m busy.

Today brekkie was bacon, eggs, sausages and mushrooms
Dinner was corned beef and cheese with a later snack of two slices of lc bread with hm pate.

    Tea was two burgers :D

I may have a little snack before bed but i`m planning a early night as i have my last early shift tomorrow and i`m bushed, i struggled to get out of bed this morning and i need to be up a bit earlier tomorrow as i`ll probably have to scrape the car

Now that i`ve said that i`ll probably be late in bed lol

    Hi losers.. i'm back :D

I meant lc losers of course..

Back on lc due to high BG, had no energy and was sleeping for 12 to 15 hours a night, sounds good if you're an insomniac but it's not.. honest

    Lost a stone in 3 weeks :A

I'm still catching up so sorry if i dont acknowledge anyone.

I've found some very lc shakes which are lush, i have one made with water every morning, also add a teaspoon of psyllium husk to it.. WOW great for keeping you regular, my new wonder ingredient, i will have a glass of that every day in future no matter what diet i do.. wonderful stuff.
Got a huuuge tub for about £9, will post link if anyone interested as its soo expensive everywhere else.

Been having lc shake first thing, and trying to eat every 2-3 hours, for me, that is the key.. cooked brekkie in work, only costs 89p for six items and mushrooms are free :) soup at next break, chunk of ham/chicken piece of cheese and some almonds at next one, then something cooked when i get in.

Ribboned courgettes ( i use a cheese slice) are a fave, great as a pasta substitute and boils in 5mins or less.

Sorry if tmi, but i weeeeed constantly for 3 days, even during the night, yes Alias, i DID get up to go... just shows the fluid i was retaining.. lol

Tesco madras sauce has been a regular, as a third of a jar is lowish carb, made with chicken its great over fresh veg.

I lost about 3 st, but have managed to put most of it back. I really MUST get back to lc ing, but the reason I stopped was because I was getting terrible cramp in my thighs during the night. Can anyone offer an help or suggestions to combat that?

I'm looking foward to joining you all.
