Hi everyone - hope you're all doing well.

I've been at a standstill for a while now, but I haven't put back on so that's fine by me. I have been eating more carbs than a couple of months ago so that's the reason for not losing anything atm.

I just wanted to say that Lidls do buckets of Greek style yoghurt for 1.55 for a kilo and the carb content is 2.8g per 100g.

Hope that helps some of you out there, and it's yummy!

    Good find kittie x

Has anyone thought of starting a thread somewhere (and possibly requesting it to be a sticky) that contains a constantly updated list of handy products for low carbers? For instance I read in one of Dana Carpenders books that she eats "fibre" crackers which have virtually no carbs after you subtract the fibre content, but I can't seem to find any crackers that have an incredibly low carb count?

Hi everyone , I am back to low carbing :).

I have been making myself low carb rolls/slices of bread , and they taste amazing at 2 carbs per roll , I dont know if anyone wants the recipe ?
    but here it is ....

    in a bowl mix

3 tbs of mixed nut flaxseed (see the link below)
    1 tbs soya flour
    1 pinch of salt
    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 egg

mix , then divide the mixture into two (to make 2 slices of bread).
And pour onto a small plate and "smooth over so the mixture is flat" on the plate. Then microwave for 40 seconds. Then peel the bread off the plate.

This is the flaxseed I use and it makes
the bread taste a bit like granary.

Mirry, these are unbelievably nice. I dont go for low carb bread substitutes usually - DH eats them a lot but they always taste a bit fake to me. But these are just nummy. And I can slather butter on them warm! Like nutty little pikelets. Yum yum. Did you invent them?

    Hi again!

I am sure you realise the importance of lots of good veg in your Way Of Eating.

If, like me, you have a problem chewing lots of raw veg, make a smoothie.

    Here's 2 of my faves

    Massive injection of veg :)
    1 large carrot
put into blender (in bits) and add 100-150ml water - blast.
1 v large tomato or 2 medium ones
    1-2 celery sticks - chopped
    Any sweet pepper going
    Sea salt and black pepper
    Ice
Basil and/or parsley - a good handfull between them
Blast Till you can't hear the noise of the ice
    Drink

    Really sweet chocolate fix
    1 large banana
100 - 150ml Goats/cows(if you can stand it) Full fat milk
    1 heaped tablespoon of cocoa
    2 tablespoons of coconut oil
    2 tablespoons of ground almonds
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Ice
Blast till you can't hear the ice

can add fresh mint - it's nice :)

I know the banana is carb heavy and should be worked into your day. However, on this Way Of Eating we can feel left out so this is a special thing and not for every night.

The above are only suggestions - alter them as you want.

Nice combination - apple, nectarine, plum plus lots of ice

If you are cutting out the carbs from a high point these will help you get off the sweet wrongness.

Big love to all low carbers!

thanks Mercy, sweets are my vice, as I have just started this again, I am giving it a couple of days before I make deserty things, as I want my sweet craving to subside a bit first.
