Hi everyone , I am back to low carbing :).

I have been making myself low carb rolls/slices of bread , and they taste amazing at 2 carbs per roll , I dont know if anyone wants the recipe ?
    but here it is ....

    in a bowl mix

3 tbs of mixed nut flaxseed (see the link below)
    1 tbs soya flour
    1 pinch of salt
    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 egg

mix , then divide the mixture into two (to make 2 slices of bread).
And pour onto a small plate and "smooth over so the mixture is flat" on the plate. Then microwave for 40 seconds. Then peel the bread off the plate.

This is the flaxseed I use and it makes
the bread taste a bit like granary.

    Hi Gintot

Welcome! Have you made a meal plan yet?

I found making a meal plan very helpful. I'm starting next wk on mine and I'm trialing out different things to add to it. Who knows, it might keep you on the straight & narrow.

    Good luck

Hi gintot :) , Good luck with low carb diet. I have done atkins on and off for a few years now and it really works. HERE IS MY PLAN..
I made a low carb shake for breakfast
    by mixing

    250ml soya milk = 0.5 carb
    250ml water
1 scoop of atkins chocolate shake powder = 1.5 carb
1/2 scoop of vanilla whey powder= 0 carb
    2 tsp of splenda
1 tsp of cocoa powder = 0.2 carb
    1/2 tsp of vanilla essence

Blitzed it in the blender and it made 2 big glasses of shake :j.

    For lunch I had ...
A bacon salad low carb roll (RECIPE ABOVE) and
a atkins bar . All for less than 5 carbs :j

    For dinner tonight

sausage and cauliflower mash with veg and gravy.
A low carb pancake with blueberries and cream.

I also keep a daily diary on what I have eaten , then if I am stuck for meal ideas I can go back and look. I also do excersize.

I ordered some almond flour to make the bakewell recipe mercy provided , cant wait !!!

    Hi,

I am new to this. I want to loose 2 stone.
I exercise 3-4 times per week (cardio and weights).

I am a 'semi-tarian' lol :o by that I mean I eat chicken and fish, but not any red meat.

Can anyone suggest any good website and or books where I can learn more about low carb/ high protein diets. It all looks a little confusing at the moment.

For breakfast today I had 2 poached eggs and for lunch I have had smoked salmon, some smelly cheese and some salad leafs with a dollop of full fat Helmans Mayo. Dinner will be Chicken with carrots and brocolli I think...........am I on the right track?:o Drinks have been water only (I'm not bothered about tea or coffee).

    Hi All,

I'm attempting to follow Atkins and am now on my third day. I've not been counting the carbs to be honest just want to try and cut down - as normally bread and spuds are my staples) I'm struggling as I have a really sweet tooth - I love cream - but I wonder if anyone has a good recipe for a sweet pudding? I found a recipe in the book for sugar free jelly and cream and also one with cocoa powder in the cream so will try those tonight - but just looking for other ideas?

This is what I've eaten so far (and now I'm getting a bit fed up of meat - so would be grateful for any ideas):

    Monday
Breakfast - 2 egg cheese omlette
lunch - 1/2 avocado, mayo, cheese, lettuce, toms & cucumber - sausage as a snack
dinner - cold slices of turkey with cauliflower, squah (small amount) and spinach

    Tuesday
Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs with butter
    lunch - same as Monday
dinner - roast pork, bit of gravy, carrots (which I think are a no-no), spinach and roast onions.

    Wednesday
breakfast - cold sausage and tomatoes
    lunch - same as Monday
dinner - bacon and poached eggs with mushrooms and tomatoes

I also cook and eat with DH and DS - both of them are eating potatoes etc., I was OK last night as I'm not that keen on roast pots (prefer mash). Tonight though they are having the same as me but with hash browns and baked beans - which I love - I know I'm going to struggle but really want to stay on track and am thinking of my lovley creamy jelly which I will have around 9pm in the evening (that is my real DANGER time - I used to have toast and butter then).

    Thanks for any help guys.
