Jasmine tea is a much less bitter version of green tea.

You can also buy green and black tea mixed which is much more like regular tea.

Green tea with manuka honey, you can buy it in Morrisons etc and its marginally more palatable than regular green tea, there is a fab Low Carb thread on here with a huge section on recipes that are tried and tested, one that springs to mind is Cauliflower mash which is yum to say the least and a great alternative to regular mash, the posters on the LC thread are super nice and helpful and very knowledgeable:)
Thank you for this site Martin

Loose green tea made in a pot is lovely, far less bitter and has a softer taste than green tea in a bag. It can be topped up to eek it out longer too :) That's if you get a taste for it.

TBH if I made green tea in a pot,I would still only let the leaves/bag brew for a few minutes.

Green tea is a bit of an acquired taste.I tend to buy it loose. You can even add the used leaves to stews and soups, which I sometimes do.

I buy a lovely green tea variety with natural peach and nectarine flavours added.Green tea and mint is lovely.

I've never tried jasmine tea, must do so.

Try the clipper brand green tea with lemon (bought mine in sainsbugs).
I love any type of green tea but this was the best I have ever tasted, very lemony IMHO.

My second favourite is Tetleys green tea with lemon.

there are lots of diets out there - and they all work if u can stick to them for long enough.

you don't HAVE to cut carbs to lose weight - eat off a smaller plate, eat smaller portions, eat less processed food.

drink lots of water inbetween meals and cut snacks.

this along with the zumba and shred should see you right

    good luck

i couldnt agree more. You can still have what you want, its all about moderation and portion control.

Your body needs a certain amount of carbs to exist on, and certainly when you are exercising!

I started trying to drink green tea and fruit teas in Jan this year as wanted to cut down on caffeine, and i absolutely hated them, Could just about managed a gulp or two before gagging! I don't even drink normal tea. However I perserved and now I will happily drink both types over coffee. It takes awhile for your tastebuds to adjust to it but keep trying. I like green tea with either jasmine or vanilla, I'm also wanting to try green tea with pineapple. On the fruit tea side, anything minty or with raspberry is my fav :)

In terms of breakfast have you thought of the following:

    1) fish: kippers perhaps? Supermarkets tend to sell packaged fish. How about smoked haddock cooked in milk?
    2) In some hotels, continental breakfasts include meat and cheese. Is that a possibility for you? Salami and cheese perhaps? And if you need bread with this, how about low GI bread? I think some of the continental breads have low GI's.
    3) Some kind of smoothie made in a blender with milk, protein powder (whey), some fruits and possibly some oats.

I personally feel nauseous if I have just proteins and fats in a meal with out any carbs. So either I include a small portion of bread, rice, pasta, whatever OR I have a full portion of beans.

there are lots of low carb diets out there and I'm sure they are much of a muchness...

look up, atkins, south beach, dukan, and sites that talk about a low carb lifestyle rather than diet as this is going to be a long term thing rather than a 'diet'.

hope you find something that suits you x
