Hi I am back.......was here earlier in the year now back with more sense!!!
I find this a great source of ideas and encouragement
Speaking of cauliflower Lidl have them on offer at the mo for I think 39p...I cooked some yesterday with a leek and whizzed it with a hand blender and added some whole grain mustard..0 -
I have now tried this cauliflower 'rice' and can confirm that it is a good carbohydrate replacement. It works well in Indian cooking as I use a lot of cauliflower anyway and it fits in with my CS diet programme. Thanks again for the tip!0

Lost another 2lbs last week on celebrity slim. Just weighed myself this morning. It really helps to know the low-carb options for this diet.0

Hi all - am still around. Back from my very sunny holidays and back on the wagon and strapped in tightly!
Today I took a little flask of bolognaise mince with me to a work meeting 50 miles way and felt so good sitting there eating my mince whilst others had sandwiches and crisps. :j
For evening meal tonight I am having a couple of slices of cheese and a handful of nuts, more than enough to fill me up for the rest of the day.
Good to see some old 'faces' and lots of new ones too.
Right, off to drink some water.0 -
Thanks for the reminder Gers, keep forgetting to drink lots of water! Flask of bolognaise sounds like a good idea for work. I have a celeb slim soup at work at the moment and then more substantial meal in the evening. Think it's going to be veg and lentil casserole tonight.0

Evening All
Can I join the thread please? I've come back to low-carbing cos I know it makes sense. All the research, plus my nutritionist, plus my trainer (oooh! Don't I sound posh? I'm not, honest, just desperate) - they all tell me to low-carb.
I'm reading a great book at the moment - Waist Disposal - can you see what they did there? It's actually written for Men, but all the same rules apply for us girls (it's also got a lovely picture of a man showing off his 6-pack on the cover - well worth a look). It's a paleo diet, written in plain English & it seems to make a lot of sense.
It states that we shouldn't be eating grains, as they weren't eaten by our ancestors & as we have been around for over 2 million years (I know! Anyone else feel old? :rotfl:) our digestive system can't handle grain, particularly wheat. Grains apparently have only been around in our diets a few thousand years.
I found out recently I am wheat intolerant & have tried to cut it out of my diet but it's in almost everything  so if any of you people can give me any info it would be much appreciated.:)
So, my diet is now meant to consist of - if it used to have a face, I can eat it, and if it grows above ground (ie. lay off the root veggies) I can eat that as well.
Anyhow, I'm off to cook mashed cauli, with loads of veggies, plus as much meat as I can find in the fridge & freezer. Then later, I'll have a greek yogurt smoothie, with banana, berries, avacado, seeds & nuts. Cor, I'm starving
Talk to you all later....
NotsoI'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSEso just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying

Hi guys n gals
After being stuck at 10st 2lb for what seemed like weeks and weeks I've finally got down to 10st flat.
I'm so pleased, though not as chuffed as I'll be once I get under the 10st mark.
Keep up the good work everyone!Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
craftygal that sounds real good and I'm gonna cook that tonight to go with some sticky chicken thighs. Got a craving for some chicken and cauli puree just the thing to go with it I think. I'm well into my celeb slim and the carb cravings have disappeared. I do like my CS snack bars though and I've been having some nuts and fruit too which are good.0
