Hi there!
I've been absent for a good while and many things have happened. I've not always been good and have had many other things to deal with. However I am basically still low carb - the wheat intollerance see's to that :rotfl:
I do still believe that lcing is the way to go - for many reasons, most of which I'm sure you thrash out here daily
The current thinking in my sphere is I may have thyroid problems. (hooray! either they give me the tabs n I'll be skinny soon or the worry with the lot of tests I'm under will achieve the same thing! WOOO!) Ahem. I've always traded on my joking personality. But WHOOOOO! :rotfl:
I confess I've not read through since March or so. Who, honestly, would?
From what I know of this thread we are up for it, caring and sharing folk - so I imagine it's gone on the same.
I love all low carbers, we are on the right path. :j
I'll pop back tomorrow but after that it'll be Monday. (got a life at last - weekend away!)
Big shout out to Mazz, Sweets and Alias! Lurve you guys!
And very Big Love to you all!

I know what you mean, my kids used to go mad as i did the same old stuff every few days. They cook a bit more themselves now and i can eat what I like but i did go through a chips with everything stage and lots of spag bol. I'm a bit better now!0 -

Nice to see you back! I still mainly read and lurk. Many of the old faces seem to have vanished but the new ones are lovely too.
Diagnosis of thyroid issues helped me loose weight and feel much less yeugh all the time so do press them to test properly and soon. I have thyroid antibodies (an autoimune condition) rather than an underactive gland and they have to do a special test to show that.
Unfortunately I've mysteriously put a stone on in about 8 weeks and the thyroid test shows no problem so I'm feeling pretty miserable, not least becuase I threw out all my fat clothes and have nothing to wear!0 -
Dug out some old recipes last night and cooked a really nice low fat chicken and veggie dish.0

OMG I was a carb addict before i decided to try celebrity slim. I admit first few days were tough going but now i reckon i was feeling bloated a lot of the time not nicely full up. Can't just chuck rice and pasta in every meal so the whole family's eating more veg and fish and chicken so we're all getting healthy!0

Hi all, havent been on here for a long time, i have been been doing weightwatchers for the last 4 months, for the first 3 months i did really well and managed to lose 42lbs but then in the last month i was struggling with the same 1lb
it was really depressing and i was worried i would undo all my good work of the months before so since Sunday i have switched back to low carb because i know this way of eating does work, it just can get abit harder to do after a while as i am really not good with the cooking and thats what you need to be to be able to create variety with this way of eating. Anyway day 3 almost done, need to plan ahead what i can have. Will try and read back and get some meal ideas.

Hiya Han!
I've had the blood dragged out of me so will see what comes up on Friday.
Just had the most wonderful weekend visiting good mate. She's mostly a veggie and we stuck to mostly veggie things.
After 20 yrs of such eating she has decided she must ingest meat for her health and I was able to actually show her that the salmon and cheese omlette did more to fill the gap for ages than cereal would.
And i didn't even cookThe lovely woman made it to share then was a bit amazed how long it took her to feel hungry :rotfl:
Low carb is THE way.
Went absolutely overboard on pastry, chocs and truly bad things for a week about 3 weeks ago. Was quite ill after I'd finished. 2 days of bad stomach, wind in increasing amounts, sickly feelings, fatness, torpor etc.
After 3 days of just going back to being sensible and eating right I lost 4 inches off my seriously bloated stomach, stopped farting and felt much better, generally.
I'm not cut out for a 'regular' diet. I need protein and veg. And not much else.
Yesterday I made 10 meals to freeze for my lunches for the next 2 weeks. One lot was veg and lamb stew and the other was beef n veg curry on a bed of cauli. These keep me going and on the straight n narrow. No reason to wander when one can choose from 2 delightful lowcarb lunches as one gets ready to go out.
Hope you all have the most amazing week!
Big love

Hey people!
Don't you know you have a low carb recipe list at you click?
Go to page 1 of this thread and to Mercy's low carb recipe list.
Cakes, meals, snacks - all designed for us, by folk just like us.
Try it and find something to lift the - to be honest - drudge that low carb can become if you don't have the recipes to blow away the blues!
My alltime favourite is the Bakewell Tart. It's just like the real thing but just 7g carbs for a 1/6th! Nice to have something to save up for
Hope you check out this underused resource and report back on your faves. We need to inspire ourselves else all else is chips, pies, pasta etc :rotfl:
Be happy

Thanks Mercy will check this out as I need some inspiration before my family goes nuts with boredom at my meals!0

I too need to cut down on my carbs as I have just started on celebrity slim. I am used to including rice in most of the family meals so it is going to be a challenge to think of alternatives. I suppose I can just serve it at the table and I don't have to have any myself but this will be very difficult to abstain!!0
