hannoja...what's the 0% cheese like? Stupid question, but does it taste proper cheesy? :D I hate cheese that tastes about as exciting as the packaging it comes in, but would be interested if this 0% cheese was tasty...

I rather like it. It's certainly not exciting though. It's described on the packet as, 'A mellow and creamy Dutch cheese, ideal in a [STRIKE]baguette or a[/STRIKE] salad'. It's not strong, and rather plain. Kinda 'Edam-ish'. It's mighty handy though ;)

I've got a few other cheeses in the fridge. All are under 2% carbs., and a couple of them are rather strong, so shouldn't be too difficult to find one to suit :)

OMG I have bread and cakes in my house for the first time in 5 weeks! I have visitors today so I'm making sandwiches for lunch. I am actually not feeling tempted one bit, even if it is fresh soft white bread and Mr Kiplings bakewell tarts! **Deep Breath**

I am very proud to report the bread didn't get eaten by me! Vistors loved the sandwiches and ate some of the cherry bakewells. What they don't know is the rest will be going him with them in the morning! We also went out for dinner tonight and I had salmon with creamed leek (OMG WOW!) and a glass of red wine and happily enjoyed the eating putting right in front of me. What a break through!!

That's great BFB - well done!

I'm at an hotel (with some work colleagues) and I just KNOW that lunch will be sandwiches and chips  so have brought some babybels with me. Just need to ignore the smell of the chips!

    Keep on going.

Dinner last night might have been good but it wasn't worth it. I had a sneaky progress check on Saturday morning and I was on track for a 2lb loss this week, but after last nights blow out I've lost less than 1lb! Fail!
  • You have not failed you've just tripped. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, this works, just give it time.

I'm slowly begining to realise this lifestyle does actually work. My weight loss has been up and down although I've lost each week for 5 weeks so I can't complain, having lost 13lb during that time. I'm making my way through the Atkins book because I feel ill equiped to reintroduce some carbs.
