    Hi everyone

For breakfast I've been having tinned toms, scrambled egg and mushrooms, though today I had a quorn burger and tomatoes.

Lunch has been egg salad all week and dinner has been fried egg, toms cut in half and fried or microwaved, fried mushrooms. I've had veggie burgers instead of egg a couple of nights.

I'm finding it difficult being a vegetarian. I had boiled swede mashed with cheese and topped with tomatoes tonight and that was nice though.

Cold meats/cheese might be an idea? Of course you can do other things to eggs, maybe a frittata (great recipes here http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/679639/quiche-lorraine-frittata) or boiled eggs.

I'm not big on breakfasts so I generally don't think about it.

Hiya all - I popped away for a couple of weeks about a month ago :o

Not quite fully back into LC now but still having some LC elements to my day. Breakfast particularly is a LC tradition in our house now - 2 boiled eggs and half a packet of ham - hubby and I both take a tub to work and I eat mine as I drive up the M6 :o

Buffy - are you handy with a sewing machine? Skirts are quite easy to take in, even by hand if need be.

Will be jumping properly back on the LC wagon with you next week

I'm back too! Work is just manic and I'm away loads. Next week I go away Monday and home Thursday.

Am still doing LC and still enjoying the benefits. I've been really strict this past 5 days and can now wear clothes without feeling like a squashed sausage. :j

Breakfast today has been 2 cooked chicken thighs. For lunch there's a couple of lamb steaks waiting to be stir fried with veggies and, as it's Friday, it's Chinese food for evening meal. I always have the meat only and don't have any rice or chips.

Last night was watching Coast and the ever lovely Neil Oliver was trying open water swimming (have no idea why cos I missed the start of the programme) and he was with the bloke who coached David Walliams through his Channel swim. Interestingly this bloke said that the swimmers are now fed carbs DURING the swim rather than anything else as they provide more energy.

So, keep right on the LC way! :j

I just have the cooked breakfast - bacon and eggs - lunch is usually at the office so manage to avoid the carbs and then the evening meal is, again, meat loaded. The hotel used mostly does a lovely chicken, salsa and sour cream salad which is just perfect and I prefer that to their restaurant meals. Next week it's 2 days in a PI so will struggle more with their deep fried meals though I'm sure there's something I can eat.

I keep a little stock of cheese and pepperamis in the car for emergency use! Don't like to eat them too often cos of the salt content but really great for those times when bread and pasta and rice are all that's on offer.

Not too sure if I could manage 6 months of it though! One or two nights a week are fine...

    Hello everyone.

Well I've been doing this Atkins thing (well my vegetarian version) and I've lost 6lb in 6 days so hopefully half a stone at 1 week.

I am starting to feel less heavy and my clothes are becoming comfortable instead of tight. I've never been able to shift the baby fat ( and my baby is 4 lol).

If there are any other vegetarians out there wondering if you can do the Atkins way of eating then I can tell you yes you can.

I perhaps might have lost more if I was eating meat but I'm happy with my weight loss, I don't feel hungry and haven't suffered from being 'bunged up' - sorry tmi I know.

I would like to lose another 2 stones if at all possible but I realise I'm not a teen any more so another stone would be good.

Has anyone else found that if you drink tea with milk in it it tastes odd?

I'm just trying to figure out what to put into my lc curry tonight as I don't want to use any veg that has more than 5g carbs per 100g.
