Ok, please don't be offended but being the straight talker I am, I need to ask something. Your use of the word 'anymore' kinda bothered me a little. Does that mean anymore....as in ' they are all on the other thread now' or anymore as in 'they just don't post now'?

Sorry, had to ask. No point in beating around the bush or maybe just assuming I know what you mean and I've got it all wrong. :)

id be surpised if RM commando's ate low carb as there some of the few people that are active enough to justify a high carb diet

Yes I agree - I'm sure the RM dont do a low carb diet, just think its a fancy name for a low carb diet to sucker us in to it!

:rotfl: No, not offended at all - the perils of the written word!

I only meant that I hope that the offending person wasn't posting anymore and did not mean to suggest that he/she has decamped to the other thread! In my experience everyone has been totally supportive and I've not had any nasty PMs, or sent one for that matter.

The reason I left earlier was nothing to do with anyone/any postings on this thread, it was everything to do me and my health after my op.

    Hope this helps? :T

I wrote that back in May, but it wasn't a criticisim, as I said at the time. Hope that's not the one you mean as I wasn't upset, didn't think that anyone wasn't sticking to LC or chatting too much! Thought I'd made that clear, if I didn't at the time then :o

Nope lol, don`t worry :p its just something that i remember reading around the time that the new thread started, i know that we were all falling off the wagon regularly and i felt like a fraud posting when i was being bad and when the general thread started it seemed more suited to a lot of us.

THB i`d post on both if i could keep up properly but i`ve got so many subs now i`m struggling so i just post on the threads that i`m more "into" IYKWIM but i still read on here - mainly when i`m at work so that i can keep up but difficult to post.

I`d like to think that the person who pm`d Buffy isn`t sround any longer as i really like the peeps on both threads and it would be awful if it was someone that i considered a friend.

I`m going to forget about it now and as Buffy has done so well despite the previous nastiness hopefully that will be the end of it.

I`m off back "over there" for a catch up.

    Happy dieting folks.

Hi Stevie, well done on your weight loss:Tyour diet looks a lot like the Margaret Thatcher one in the papers a while ago, is that where you got it from? I thought I would give it a go but just stuck with my usual lcing instead, also I try to eat some carbs as I dont want headaches, I did do meat n eggs when I stalled some time ago and it worked a treat its just soooo boring;)

    Icing diet? That sounds fun!
Yes first week I got headaches and taste in mouth, couldnt drink enough water. 2nd week same, but less headaches, less taste but still thirsty. Also been very tired and lethargic.
I got it from a (girl) friend who had done it and lost 14lb in first week and thought I could do with a bit of that. Also I'm not sure if I can maintain a "strict" diet longer term. 2 weeks is about my attention span.
Some good things about this diet - I have tried some new foods, not missed alcohol, no IBS (in fact I've hardly pooed at all). and some of the food habits I can continue and follow on afterwards. Certainly grapefruits, salads. I also hadnt eaten fish for over 20 years as I dont like the taste it makes me sick, I have eaten the fish on the diet and whilst not sick it was v v v v hard work and at least now I can confirm that I dont like fish - fact!

Lol...course it does. :D Hope you didn't mind me clarifying. I'm always shouting the odds about how people shouldn't just assume things (as they invariably get it wrong) so I thought it better just to ask and then that way we could have sorted things out if there was any underlying upset. Glad it's all ok though.:)
