The last time I posted here I got an lovely PM from a forumite here, who told me because I wasn't doing absolute full on low carb I should not be posting on this thread and that I should leave it to the "genuine low carbers". Don't worry love, your identity is safe with me, but while you've been falling off the wagon on a regular basis, I have dropped two dress sizes and the weight is continuing to fall off steadilyMy point being it is about what works for you - what works for one may not work for another.
Back to lurking again

Good grief- that's awful! And I'm glad you've bounced back again!
Good luck too... :beer:0 -

Just so you all know......it wasn't me.
Bit surprised how someone feels it's ok to offer 'posting guidelines' (I'm trying to be kind and tactful here) but then again this is MSE and we're all a mixed bunch.
If anyone cares to defect to our support thread, you're al welcome and you can diet any flipping way you want.(Or not, in my case.
)
Herman - MP for all!0 -
I don`t post over here either as i prefer the general thread whether i`m low carbing or not.
I also think that the person sending the pm should be named and shamed, its surprising the things that you find out
In fact correct me if i`m wrong but didn`t the general thread start up because someone felt that we wern`t all sticking properly to low carb and chatting too much?
Can`t really remember now or if/who was upset but thats probably why this thread isn`t as active now, the chat etc is support and helps!
Buffy - nice to hear that you are doing so well despite any previous nastiness :T
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

I agree, a bit! I'd be upset to find it's someone I like...In fact correct me if i`m wrong but didn`t the general thread start up because someone felt that we wern`t all sticking properly to low carb and chatting too much?

Well folks I'm off out of here too the thread has moved on from the original purpose and no longer works for me. Please understand that this is not a criticism of anyone or this thread, the nature of the world and those in it is evolution.
For the many contributors who love this thread I wish you all well in your ups and downs and thanks for all the help in the past!
I wrote that back in May, but it wasn't a criticisim, as I said at the time. Hope that's not the one you mean as I wasn't upset, didn't think that anyone wasn't sticking to LC or chatting too much! Thought I'd made that clear, if I didn't at the time then0 -

Well i wouldn't, i'd like to know who the hell thinks they can attempt to bully another poster into not posting.
I also say name them buffy.
There are posters that i dont particularly take to, but i just kinda take no notice of them and dont respond.
We had someone like that on the lc thread before and when her true colours came out, she left, maybe she's back!!!0 -

I wasn't going to say anything, since I get quite enough b1tchiness in another part of my life. However I too was shocked, but grinned at how obviously well you've done Buffy, in spite of it. Well done :T
I don't want to find out it's someone I like eitherPerhaps if the person, who I feel is still around btw... just PMs a genuine apology to Buffy, and a pat on the back for her doing so well despite b1tchiness, then I would think that that should suffice..?

Hehe, I tend to ramble on, so I try to refrain from posting too muchI post on the 'General' thread too, since I'm just trying to eat healthily and sensibly and stick to low GI carbs. if/when I do eat carbs.. I feel that I'm doing quite well, and feel so much 'mentally' better. The power of our minds is incredible.. if I feel mentally bad life can be so hard, but if I'm feeling mentally strong, I can just power through minor physical complaints.
There, that do ya?
Ungh.. message too short indeed...
Had h/m museli today.. with some 'Onken' yoghurt.. yummee. I can see why it's popular! I even liked the vanilla one!
Eek, better go make kids' sanis. :wave:0 -
Morning -such unpleasantness last night - am shocked more than surprised but didn't think that such people (who sent the PM) were around this forum.
Drank loads of water yesterday, felt better but had a lot of running to the loo moments.
Today already had my breakfast of the shake and raspberries and will be off out soon. Am determined to use up food in the freezer, again, and have taken out something brown that looks like meat and something yellow'ish which looks like butternut squash soup! It'll be in interesting day food wise.
Hope all are both well and doing well.0 -
