What about craving? Did your cravings come back?
good question
oatibix are 97% wholegrain oats and just 3.2g sugars per 100g so should be a low GI (Around 50). I have not had any cravings from them, however i will profile my blood sugar on them over the weekend to see if i am going above 5.9, i dont feel like i am but I wont know till i see the hard facts.
having the protein shake "in suspension" in the oatibix defiantly gives it a slow release effect, on its own on an empty stomach its less than an hour to go through the system.0 -
What a beautiful morning!
Had a lie in, not something I do normally, but obviously needed it. Mind you did lie awake listening to the radio about what was happening in Rothbury.
Had a nibble of cheese, now going to have some chicken and some water and head off into my day. Got loads to do and need to make an early and concerted start!
Eric - I bought some of the protein powder you use, unflavoured, and will start to use it once the work in the house is finished, probably Wednesday.0 -
Phew its FAR too hot for me. Like a sauna in the house and bizzarely it makes me want to eat carp! So I tried to make lc chocolate mousse - not a resounding success but it beat the cravings although I now feel a little sick;)0

Not going to weigh myself till tuesday morning now.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
No point depriving yourself Csarina - you're losing weight well enough.
I've had a dicky tummy over the weekend, not too sure what's going on but it's getting better. Wonder if the chicken I bought is a bit dodgy?
Anyway, been eating sparsely but well. This morning already had some coffee and some pieces of cheese. Got some cottage cheese in the fridge for later.
The workmen are descending today for 3 days so I'll be camping out! Actually today going south for a meeting tomorrow so will be in an hotel and for Tuesday night will be staying with friends if needed.
Yesterday I went to Costco and got a litre of double cream (for coffee and berries) which is cheaper than supermarket prices.
Hope your day is good.0 -
I had the offer of sunday dinner being cooked for me yesterday, so I wasn't going to turn that down diet or not
Add to that a fairly substantial amount of red wine, and yesterday didn't exist in the weight loss stakes!
Back on the horse this morning though. Lost 3.5 kilos last week all in all, so thats half a stone in old money. I'm well happy with that, if I can get the same result this week I'd be laughing. Trouble is, got a birthday do on thursday so it's a meal out and drinks after, then going out on the lash on saturday
All good, and I'm not bored yet either...0 -
Hiya everyone,
Just checking in after a weekend of protein and veg (and 2 sneaky gin and diet tonics whilst watching the world cup final!!) to say I have lost 9lb 6oz in a week.
Am really happy with my loss but I still have a fair way to go. I want to lose 2 dress sizes - not sure what my weight will be then (I have only owned a pair of scales for a week, never been a 'weight-watcher'!) but if I can fit back into my wedding dress I will be happy.
Hubby has stayed on protein and veg rather than going back to protein only like me, but he has less to lose and is finding it more difficult than me so he should do just fine like that.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Okay guys - stupid question alert!
What are the 'best carbs' to eat if I have to eat any?
I am going out for an italian meal on Saturday and whilst I will steer away from carbs if I can what will be the easiest thing for me to eat?
I will be on a protein and veg day anyway so I can eat meat and salad but if it comes to a pizza / pasta / potato choice is any one better than the others?
I want to be as 'normal' as possible - I don't really want to sit and advertise the fact that I am on a diet.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
