    Morning - from far away.

My evening meal was some really delicious lamb with veggies - left the potatoes alone. This morning I've had a large plateful of bacon and eggs and walked right past the hash browns, baked beans and so on!

    Hope you're doing well?

Hotel meals and brekkies are hard to resist, it's like missing an open goal :)

I had a steak, 2 slices of bacon and 2 eggs for dinner last night and it was lush :) Energy levels have dipped a bit though, I could only manage 10 mins on the exercise bike last night. And it felt like I'd done half an hour when I got off.

Tuna/cucumber again for lunch today, it's so easy and seems to fill a gap. Taking lunches into work is the only bit I'm struggling for ideas with at the moment. Going to give the pepperami's and such a go when I can get to the supermarket I think.

Strangely though I'm finding it very easy to get up in the morning - I've been early for work for the last 2 days which is frankly unheard of, wonder if that's a side effect.

They also change if you stand further forward or back, or to one side of the other. I use the Wi-Fit when at home as it keeps over a 12 months graph so you can see your progress or not!!!

  • Hello everyone,

I am on day 3 of the Dukan Diet which is (I think) a lot stricter than other low carb diets. Well I guess it is actually a no carbs, no fat diet at the moment. I am in the 'attack phase' which is protein only.

Anyway - so far it is going okay - I had lost 2lb in 24 hours when I weighed myself yesterday evening and then a further 3lb when I weighed myself this morning (although I realise that this mornings weigh in may not be accurate).

Is anyone else doing Dukan on here?

Have to say I am rather jealous of you eating bacon, cucumber, veggies and pepperami - all a no go for me :(

Still the weight is shifting already and I feel better for it :T

New to all this. Is low-carb the way forward then? My brother tells me no bread etc after 6pm helps and that's been going well. I don't like to be fanatical - just tyring to lose weight in a healthy way.

I'll have a look online and see what Dukan is, sounds fairly hardcore ;)

I must admit I'm not really doing a proper diet at the mo, just cut out rice/pasta/potatoes/bread/most veg at the moment really. I figure if I get decent results from just winging it right now, then if I make the move to a proper regulated diet I'll see even more improvements.

So what's a typical day's food then MFD?

For the Attack Phase (I am doing 5 days - can be anywhere between 2 and 7 depending on your circumstances) I can eat:

Lean Beef, Veal, Chicken, Eggs (only 2 yolks per day), Turkey, Fish, Cottage Cheese, No Fat Yoghurt, Low Fat Ham, skimmed milk and onions!

I also have to have 1 1/2 tablespoons of oatbran a day (you can make it into a pancake or porridge), I have to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water a day (aiming for 3+) and I have to try (;)) to walk for 20 mins a day.

    That is pretty much it.

The next phase is as above but 2 tbs of oatbran a day and I can eat some veg - not potatoes, mainly green stuff!

Sounds like a low carb stall-breaker meat feast

Today I have only eaten protein with some nuts and a little white wine. :j Been a very stressful day (weekend hotel charging my card for company paid stay - got accused of being 'aggresive' :T) but haven't eaten any emotional food... :j

Evening food was a tub of egg mayo with bacon. Thank goodness LC helps eliminate wind from the system. :rotfl:
