Eric they are really easy to make at home too, I will find the Rose Eliot recipe and post it for you later very MSE!

Any of the Food Doctor items are ridiculously pricey.

    nice find

nuts are so damn expensive ... i think ipay £4 for 300g for plain nuts :(

some one said holland and barret are cheap but i never thought to check aldi ..

When I was behaving myself I used to keep a box of mixed nuts. Usually almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts and brazils. I am lucky to stay in an area with a reasonable selection of supermarkets and bought them in different places. Brazils are cheapest in Asda - smart price is just under £1.00 for 200g, Lidls for Brazils about £1.80 for and Aldis are about £1.30 for hazelnuts and almonds again in 200g packs. Roasted peanuts are 23p in Asda for Smart Price. Macademia nuts are dear everywhere. The prices may have changed as it is about 2 months since I have bought any.

I did atkins years ago and I know it works but think I need to join the mutual support from here!
    today's intake:
    2 egg omlete with cheese
    p[ork steak with salad
2 pork steaks with salad ( needed eating today!)
    1 babybel and 3 squares 85% choc.
    does that sound OK?

This comes from her Low-gi Vegetarian Cookbook.

    Soya Nuts

You can buy these, but they are also very easy to make. Soak soya beans overnight then drain and blot dry.
Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20mins at 180C/350F/gas mark 4.
Stir them, then bake for a further 20-25 mins, stirring every 5 mins or until golden brown and crisp.
Sprinkle with 1-2 teaspoons olive oil and onion salt, garlic salt or sea salt to taste.
Store in a jar or airtight container.
