Eric, your link to netdoctor is giving old information as the latest NICE 2010 guidlines for type 2 diabetics is:
Fasting (waking) between 4 - 7 mmol/l. 2 hrs after meals, no more than 8.5 mmol/l.
For non-diabetics the range is normally quoted as 4-6 even after eating.
big thanks, did not know the figures had been revised, do you have a link to up to date details ?0 -
Glad I came on here today, as late I've been very bad, I got out ofthe habit of low carbing, and let things slide, I think its because I got lazy and started using a lot of ready meals, I feel very guilty as its not just me who has put on weight but my husband, who's weight has really balooned, he is a driver so does'nt get much exercise, so I am going to do a weekly meal plan from the great recipies I have seen here, and the links. Thankyou Sue ps my signature is not right now but too scared to weigh myself0

Eric:
If you go to www.lowcarbdiabetes.com and then put Nice 2010 in the search bar then this should bring up discussions and references.
I cheat and let the experts on there do the research, really nice friendly and informative bunch they are too.0 -

I definitely think that I do better on the weeks that I write a menu plan, plus it makes shopping easier.0 -
