Right then, guess it's my turn on the high horse, you naughty naughty people!

I've been good as gold all day - including turning down a free pot of Ben and Jerry's that the lodger insisted was "good for the soul". I've done some working out, though not as much as usual because my hands and shoulders are all really sore at the moment - possibly need to ease up a bit. However I have done lots of psychocalisthenics and can feel those abs shaping up

I also put on my "teenage jeans" (the ones I bought when I was 17) today, and found them looser than ever, finally sitting neatly on my hips just like they did all those years ago. They even look OK with a short top on, though I won't be leaving the house like that any time soon

    Weigh-in tomorrow...

  • Badger, you are sooo good:D. Well done on resisting the B&J's. I've just finished off a 500ml tub of Haagan Daz strawberry cheese cake ice cream. I feel totally sick but it was bl00dy delicious:p. Sweet, I can't blame the kiddies for that one but it has been sat in my freezer since Christmas:D.
    When I blow a diet, I do it properly:o:p;)
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

I woke at six this morning as i had a wierd dream.

Seems most of us had a bad day yesterday so onwards and downwards today:T

Sweet, i challenge you to stay with my middle son (26) for a week and not go home a dish smasher;) he is a sarky aggrevating git and when his mate comes i usually thank him for taking him out to play

I have slammed the lounge door off the hinges almost and it now scrapes along the carpet as the frame is ruined, so i had to turn to the dishes  :D
and unlike mercy my fave mugs went cos they were there!!
its not a regular occurence tho :rotfl: but it certainly lets off pent up anger :T

Am geting a bit fed up with breakfast and might start having a LC shake instead (is soo much easier to mix a shake than cook bacon and egg)

But, am starving this morning so need these carbs cleared outta my system first..

Tis a beautiful day so hopefully i wont waste it in bed on my lappy :o

Simply asking nicely didn't work so I smashed things til he left

    As you do. :confused::rotfl:

Lol @ Marrowgirl. I think I'd need a skip to chuck the things out my lot leave around. A black bag just wouldn't cut it. :D

Well Sweet I hope you got on better than me cos I've lost 1lb. Which seems ok ...but I weighed myself yesterday and I was 2lbs lighter yesterday than I am today. And not one dodgy thing passed my lips! *goes to sit with Badger* :D Fed up trying to work it out now. I've spent the last 3 weeks hovering around the same weight.

I even only had veg for tea last night! Cauli / brocc and turnip mashed with butter. With a wee bit cheese on top. OH had made dinner whilst I was tidying and it wasn't something I wanted to eat so I just had the veg cos I couldn't be bothered doing anything else.

*considers having dippy egg and soldiers for breakki now.*:D

Grrrr, weigh-in day indeed! Here's me, sore all over, feeling slim and toned and very proud of myself for sticking to diet, and the scales are still showing exactly 11 stone. How will I ever get down to 9st6?? The needle has barely moved a pound since January :(

You're building muscle without doubt though Badger. Muscle is heavier than fat so it stands to reason that's why you look better but the scales dont reflect that. Increased muscle mass also means increased fat burning so to hell with the scales...go with measurements now.

The bloke at my local gym asked me if I wanted to lose weight or tone up because you cant really do both and expect results in both areas.

There's a professional trainer who goes on the Men's Health forums my OH sometimes goes on and he advises people who want to lose weight to concentrate on weight loss only, for the first while before then introducing exercise, purely for this very reason. Although exercise is obviously good for you, he reckons if someone doesn't lose what they expect to weight wise, it puts them off and they end up not exercising and not dieting at all. (Although that's more for fatties like me.)

Looking toned and feeling better is much more important than a figure on a scale so just keep remembering how far you've come and how fit you are now compared to before. And put the scales in a cupboard.

God you lot have made me laugh this morning with the smashing stories! I’ve never done it although I’ve often wanted to – I get put off by the thought of all the cleaning up afterwards. Mind you I have no kids, I suspect if I did they would tip me over the threshold of restraint.
My mother told me a story of her cousin taking eldest daughter shopping for new coat and, after lots of pain and arguing, getting home with one they’d agreed on but daughter then didn’t like. Crazy woman took it out in the back garden and set light to it! The story is even funnier (and a bit worrying) if you know my aunt – she’s about 4’8” and meek as anything – I look at her in a different light when we meet up at family gatherings now.

I decided it would be too hard to resist chocolate all together so went on a crazy shopping spree at lowcarb megastore – Russell Stover is my poison of choice. Crikey my stomach was uncomfortable last night – hurricane force windy ;)

I bought granola as well as chocolate and am now bemused – the website says Lizis Granola - Belgian Chocolate is 3.3g carbs per serving but the packet says much more: per 50g serving carbs 22.5g of which sugars 5.6g. The stuff is made in Wales so I suspect the fibre is already separate but, just in case: Dietary Fibre 6.5g of which oligofructose 2.5g. Even if I take the fibre out its 16g carbs.

Ah been back to the website and their serving is 25g – but still that would be 8 or 11.25g carbs. Grrr – doing my head in.

I think I’ll just have a bowlful with my latest bargain find – Lidl Greek style creamy yogurt. Like Total but much cheaper in a bucket size and 2.8g carbs per 100g instead of Total’s 3.2g. Yummy, MSE and low carb – can’t beat it! Oh and I’ll be saving the bucket like tub to use as a paint pot.
  • Lol, seems there are lots of angry, mad as hell peeps out there!! Thought it was just me!!:rotfl:
Have any of you considered kick boxing?! Or Anger Management?! :rotfl: Gotta be cheaper than replacing broken plates, mugs, doors etc!! :rotfl:
  • Good morning peeps :hello:

    Weigh day today & I lost 4lbs!! :D

Well done alias on your lb off!! And well done Badger on those teenage jeans!! cheerleader.gif

HanSpan, think you have taken over my alter ego fart.gif No standing down-wind of you!! :rotfl:

newish, get thee to the naughty corner!! A whole tub of icecream?! I've often fantasised about doing that!! :rotfl: Mine would be the Baileys one though :D

It's a lovely day here too so might get out for a bike ride today but am feeling quite lethargic at the moment so will see how I feel.

B - 4 cumberland chipolata sausages (they need using up) & 2 fried eggs
L - ham or salmon salad (had ham yesterday cos couldn't be bothered to open the salmon)
    D - not sure yet??

Have a lovely day everyone :D I'm off to make my brekkie

    Well done you!

I've managed my "23 year old" ones but I think my "17 year old" ones would be a step too far! I doubt there are any left in the loft for me to dig out to try on which is probably a good thing!
    My name is Paula and I am a low carber :kiss: 1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg :kiss: (Atkins/IPD) 24/1/13 - 69kg! Yikes!:cry::cry:
