Isn't that the gadget that was famed for catching fire? Was on Watchdog I think? The company refuted claims it was unsafe despite any people saying they all had the same identical fault.
Edit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2008/11/chip_pans_up_in_smoke.html
There was a website for peeps who had been affected but I can't find it now, Tefal had basically washed it's hands.
It was a while ago now though so maybe it's been sorted out during the redesign Eric mentioned?
I bought my Actifry in December 2009 - it worked great and made great low fat chips - until last night. Set it up, switched it on, the paddle started turning but no fan. I opened the lid and three flames shot out of the heating element which was white hot then it all just died.
Dread to think about what would have happened if i never realised the fan wasn't onand left it to burn away.
Great machine, but if this happens after 6 months, is it safe?0 -

Apparently so if you read the company blurb.
The flames will just die out as its flame resistant plastic.
It has happened to so many though that although i want one, i wouldnt buy one!0 -

It's a good breakfast isn't it? My regular breakfast for many months when I was low carbing.0 -
