I dont know where to post now:oI have a low carb question so I'll give it a go here first, what do you have when you fancy something sweet? I dont mean stuff that you can make just when you fancy grabbing a bar of chocolate or having some sweets, what would be a good option?, it must of been on here that I read about Throntons diabetic toffee or fudge, so is diabetic sweet stuff a good option?, I've tried the Atkins Lo Carb bars and H&B Diabetic chocolate both were ok, I prefrered the H&B choccie but I am sensitive to splenda:(Any suggestions welcome:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

melt some very dark choc and coat nuts in it?0 -
Also stay away from teh Atkins bars. They make your insides turn cartwheels in a very unattractive way.0

I put on weight when I had them and really didnt like them and they are so expensive, thanks for the ideas:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

glowy, I really didn't like dark chocolate until I tried the Morrisons own brand of Organic chocolate. It has an almost fruity taste and is really nice. It's 70% cocoa from memory, which isn't as rich as the 80/85% stuff but the carb count is reasonable nonetheless. You still can't eat the whole bar though.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Thing is glowgirl, you're meant to be weaning yourself off sweet stuff and learning to enjoy things which have minimum sugar. Things made with loads of sweeteners are just not very good for you in teh long term. If you're a sweetaholic then the best thing, tbh, is just to suffer the pangs until you've detoxed from the sugar. Have some cheese or a pepperami, something like that. If yu think you're going to bust the diet, then have raspberries.0

How about Woodies bars? - orange or hazelnut, they're really nice, not sure what sweetener they use though
Sorry that's not helpful is it, encouraging the sweet tooth!Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

I know Sarah:oand I've gone to great lengths to give up my beloved snickers and I have done it, I'm still sticking to it now I dont have any sugar at all and I'm not even struggling, every now and then I would just like a little something thats not going to kill the whole thing completely, I have been having strawberries with soya yoghurt the past couple of days which has been good, I'm might give the Morrisons choccie ago, I shop there anyway:) I wont know if it gives me a migraine till I try it and I can be trusted just to have one bit, would it be the start of a slippery slope though;)
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and support:)
