Wow, all change since yesterday!! Definitely makes sense to have a general diet & emotional support thread, think that's where I'll be heading as I haven't been a low-carber for a few weeks :o

glowgirl, for a 'sweet' treat I can recommend Mercy's chocolate buns (on the recipe list page 1). I know it's dark chocolate, but it's only a small amount per bun (I think it says use 2 bars of choc but I used to only use 1 & it still worked out). They're not too sweet & taste lovely with double cream. You can freeze them but they defrost a bit sticky, still perfectly edible though.
Also, have you tried Lidl greek yoghurt?? Tis low-carb & peeps on here have it with a few raspberries/chopped nuts.

CWR, I've never heard of woodie bars either.

foxy, good luck with low-carbing, hopefully peeps will still post on here :D

Hi all:) Well I bought the chocolate and although its better than other dark ones I'm not keen but I shall keep it for emergencies;)I just had a nibble earlier but today I feel I'm in need of a kick start so I'm doing a meat and eggs day (actually I'm going to do 3 days), I'm going to buy the lidl yoghurt, it seems more lc than the morrisons one and I love greek yoghurt and I'm going to get some frozen berries and flaked almonds, also I really fancy those buns, thanks sweet:) good luck foxy:) I stayed the same weight today but hopefully after my kick up the whatsit today I'll start to loose again:)

If you have time, the flaked almonds are even nicer if you toast them first (ina dry frying pan).

    Hi

    First post on this thread!

I am on second week of IPD - and have lost 7lbs so far. Very much looking forward to eating some berries next week as getting totally fed up with cheese and eggs!!

Wanted to ask if anyone knows if honey is ok or a defo no-no - I love Lidl greek yogurt with fruit and honey!

Also, portion sizes, if I stick to low/no carbs, should I also be watching portion sizes esp of fat (cheese). I know Pig to Twig book states you should never be hungry but maybe I a taking it too far :)

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Hi red madcurls. If you're on IPD you can't have berries until phase two (which only comes when you've lost most of the weight you want to lose). Did you realise that? Although I ended up eating berries on it as i too got fed up with savoury breakfasts.

And no, absolutely no honey. It's pure sugar! Have you got the IPD book?

Re hunger, best to try and negotiate with yourself not to snack all the time. I know the book says it's fine but eventually it will slow you down. Good luck!

Although I have bought the Holland and Barrett LC crispbread I don't enjoy them so have been eating Ryvita and Lidl's ones at between 5-6 carbs. Was in Aldi's earlier this week and found 2 that are within the LC range.

Savour Bakes Rye with no artificial additives (Green packet) at 3.1g carb
Savour Bakes Sesame with no artificial additives (Red packet) at 2.8gcarb
They are slightly bigger than the HB ones, taste much better have about 3 times the number in the pack and are only 59p.
