I'm so annoyed with myself:mad:I am trying to do meat n eggs for three days and went shopping to Lidl and bought yoghurt and raspberrys and had a bowl, with chopped walnuts - now my belly is sticking out and I have a banging headache (had this before mind you) for gods sake -arghhhhhhhh:mad:
Sorry everyone:orant over now, I'm taking to my bed, I'm so p***** off:(Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Glowgirl, hold on. what's hte problem? The food you ate was low carb. The headache is par for the course when you're just starting out. Sounds like you're doing fine to me, and the meat only thing is really not great and only recommended for when you've got a serious stall on your hands. Yo're doing fine!0

Hi red madcurls. If you're on IPD you can't have berries until phase two (which only comes when you've lost most of the weight you want to lose). Did you realise that? Although I ended up eating berries on it as i too got fed up with savoury breakfasts.
And no, absolutely no honey. It's pure sugar! Have you got the IPD book?
Re hunger, best to try and negotiate with yourself not to snack all the time. I know the book says it's fine but eventually it will slow you down. Good luck!
I thought you did phase one for two weeks and then started introducing new foods, please tell me this is the case as I just need to eat fruit LOL
Yeah I do have the 'pink bible' but couldn't remember them mentioning honey and was fooling myself that it was natural sweetner etc etc but really I knew

Woodies bars are made by Cavalier, who make lots of sugar free choc bars. They're not very big, sort of a wafer thing, but a nice little treat at about 2 carbs a bar. They sell them online at Avidlite and Lowcarb megastore but health food type shops often have them, oh and they sell them in the hospital shop where I work.

Ah, you've fallen for their cunning trick redmadcurls. YOu repeat those first two weeks until you're within 10 lb or so of your goal. I remember feeling a bit cheated by that! Have a look at the book, you'l find it towards the end of section one. THey are a bit truth-twisting to be honest, as they keep on tempting you with phase two - but it really doesn't come for a while yet.
Anyway, who needs fruit when you've got veg? Fruit is just tarty veg anyway0 -
Thanks for the suppport Sarah and Alias (on the other thread) I did actually loose 1lb when I weighed myself this morning which although not a lot is still great because I had stalled and actually gained last week, I'm doing meat, eggs and now dairy for a couple of more days (I might throw in a few nuts and berries here and there), I cant bear the headaches, years of migraines make me react really badly to even a mild headache, now I have the migraines under control I just dont want any pain at all so I'm keeping the dairy in:) Happy lcing everyone:) Summer is looking a bit nearer think of us with our bikini bods:rotfl:Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
