Hi everyone:) Well after my kebab jaunt last night I weighed myself this morning and I have put on 1/4 of a pound:DI had a carby day yesterday, no bad stuff just a bit more of the good stuff then I usually have so I am very pleased and think I've got away lightly;)Back on track today though, happy lcing to those rejoining and to those plugging away.

mazzers, I'm new to this thread and have been reading your posts, I really like the sound of the food you make, you inspired me to have courgette ribbons fried in butter and it was lush, would never of thought of that so thank you:T

Evening all, haven't been on here for ages. Hows everyone? Diet has completely gone to pot long time ago for me. Want to start again tomorrow. Have filled the fridge up as much as i could with low carb foods. Just wanted to ask about sweetener, what does everyone use? i have splenda in the cupboard but im not very keen on the taste. Is honey allowed at all? I really like drinking fruit herbal tea with a tsp of honey *eek* i know its not that great for you but i figure its alot better than having fizzy drinks. Any advice please? thanks all x

Focus i love the fruit teas.

My faves are strawberry & mango and chammomile & vanilla.

I gradually lessened the amount of sugar from one spoon to half, then a quarter then none. I can`t stand them with sugar at all now. I think that the strawberry one is best to start doing this with as it tastes sweeter than the others. Maybe the fact that its two types of fruit makes a difference?

PS i bought a tea infuser spoon for £2.50 and this year i plan on drying some raspberry/blackberry/blackcurrant leaves & fruit in the oven after i`ve turned it off and mashing them into a powder to keep in a jar. Hopefully i can make my own then and save a packet :D

Shucks thanks, happy to oblige :)

Just need to follow my own advice now ;)

I will be having the courgettes (lightly boiled) with my bol tonight, is lovely and light, not as stodgy as pasta, but it will have a nice tump of cheese on top :D

Not doing too badly actually, carbs not as low as induction but i dont want to go that low, am keeping them under 50g per day.

Am gradually reducing my carbs but am more like maintenance level rather that losing but am still going to gym so hopefully won't be too bad. Think I need to re-read some of my books to inspire me and look for some new recipes. Am fine with the meals but as always its the after dinner snacks that derail me.

Is a beautiful sunny day here at last. Got the washing machine on and am going to the gym. Has a blasting hot shower and that is my treat after a Saturday work out.

Glowgirl, try the halved peppers, filled with garlic, couple of cherry tomatoes, and topped with feta, or cheddar if you prefer, sprinkle liberally with olive oil and roast in the oven for 20-30 mins ( i'm not very good with times etc as my oven is cr*p)
They go all juicy and gooey and lush, i have them with lamb chops.. yum

Was up early for work but forgot i am doing the later shift today, thankfully i remembered in time 1sm067roll.gif?t=1273306746

I quite like fruit teas made with fresh fruit. Just pour boiling water over a small amount of fruit like a slice of lemon, lime or orange or a few berries. Is more like a squash but still tasty.

What a good idea, i still have some fruit from the garden in the freezer from last summer so i shall defrost some and try that later today as i`m running low on the teabags atm.

    Thankyou :A

I get the scandinavian crispbread from holland and barret its 2.9g carbs per crispbread , they are very fibrous lol and they definitely need something on them to help get them down but i like them

presumably you can get the flours from H+B too
