Hi gravitytolls and welcome; I'm a long term low carber who puts weight on after babies too. AS you know it's by far the easiest diet to stick to long term so pull up a pew and grab a chicken leg and join in! I'm n a slightly different diet at the moment but am low carb-positive, if you see what I mean.

Well, went looking for old jeans in the wardrobe this morning and was irritated to find that I don't seem to have any size 16s. I've been in baggy 18s for a while plus a pair of v expensive size 16 skinny wonder jeans that look great but are too long - fine for boots where you tuck them in, not good for sandals. Then I tried on a pair of M&S size 14 skinny jeans, which went on and did up, but left the most marvellous muffin top in their wake. Still, I tried them on two weeks ago and they wouldn't do up, so that's good.

So I'm back in the size 16 wonder jeans with roll-ups looking like a tit. Never mind. No one looks at me anyway *sulks*
  • Hi guys how you all doing?

Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!

    Hi peeps

confession time :o i threw a strop cos there were no sausages left this morning :(

So far i`ve been very bad and need some help getting out of this chair, think i`m wedged between the arms :rotfl:brekkie was a yogurt :D hm thick one with little bits of dried fruit, then i had a sandwich - ham and mustard mayo, then i had another sandwich - boiled eggs and bacon, then another :o:o

Soooo its a little after ten am and i`ve already had six slices of bread, think i`ll have a couple of days off and start again. i also have a grab bag of chilli heatwave doritos within reach.

I'm so glad. I've had toast and now a tuna sarnie. Rice last night, pasta tonight. I always seem to do thid ~ overload on carbs because I know I'm not going to be having them again. Stupid thing is, I don't even miss them once I get past the first week, not even the smell of toast does it for me.

Must confess, the bread and pasta is the hardest for me, I love them both. But honestly I don't miss them, I just have to buy it in forms I'm not fond of to ensure I leave it alone.

But I'll come in here every day, and I'll feel supported, thanks guys.

I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

    Mornin'
Thanks for the warm welcomes and advice. :A
Been reading loads about Atkins and not sure I totally get it. No idea what a 'cup' is??
How do you weigh spinach? net carbs/total carbs...what??
Just hoping that my common sense prevails.:rotfl:
so far have had fresh coffee with cornish clotted cream (was reduced from £1.50 to 40p last night..divine intervention?)
2 eggs with 2 streaky bacon
lunch will be smoked salmon, bit of cheese, spinach 2 little toms
not sure what's for dinner yet.
I thought you could have sugar free jelly so made a load of that last night but it turns out it's forbidden...
Took me ages to get lunches ready last night, frying bacon and making jelly. Must come up with some quick n easy stuff. have a fridge and microwave at work so think i'll fill the fridge.
What do you all do at dinner time? make yourself a seperate meal or try to incorporate one big meal for all (family of 5)?
so far so good ( she says, 3 hours in and with all the positivity of someone who can eat all the meat and fat they like, I won't always be so eager i know)

    oh and whats icing??

Evening all - been (ma)lingering on the sofa this week. After my foray outside on Monday my internal wounds grumbled on :( so I've had to rest a bit more, but now officially bored!

I've been good on the LC front too - got back to bacon and eggs for breakfast, soup for lunch and meat/veggies for evening meal. Just concoted some stir fried chicken bits with leek, red pepper, lemon juice and finished off with a spoonful of St Agur spreadable cheese over the top, oh, and a little chilli for a kick. Poured it over some salad leaves.

Have done an online shop :j and could learn to love it.

Bought a new Wii :o used to have one, along with Wii Fit, but hated it and so sold it to a colleague. New one is black so it fits in better with TV stuff - now trying to work out how to get BBC iPlayer on it. That will mean that I'm not watching any more rubbish daytime telly, am driving myself mad with it and getting really angry.

Off to drink some more water, though I think my increased stomach is still the operation swellings as it's very tender. The 3 little wounds have healed externally, inside is a different matter.

Welcome the new posters and good wishes to all.
