    .......low crabing .......

:D I know that's just a typo but it sums me up totally. :rotfl:That's all I've been doing lately .......being crabby about low carbing. :D

Anyway, hiya and welcome, course you can join us, the more the merrier. :)

I haven't heard or read anything that suggests low carbing can affect your ability to conceive. Do you know where your friend got that info from? I would have thought if there were any basis in fact for that, it would be well known. I wonder if anyone else has heard similar?

Nice to see sweet up and at 'em early today, well done for a good day....start of many I hope? :D

Maz, let me know when you think you're ready to behave again? I might aim for the same day. :rotfl:

I have to cut round 5 electrical sockets to get one sheet of plasterboard on the wall today (I'm in the hall now, lol). I've been putting it off as I've got nooooo idea how I'm gonna do it. :rotfl: My son did a welding apprenticeship, stupid boy could have picked something that benefited me! :(:D

Off to have a last cuppa before I move my[STRIKE] sizeable[/STRIKE] shapely @ss. ;) See you all later.

I was gonna comment on the low crabing too :D

Mouth fine, only had a filling as the crown is for t'other side and she wouldn't do two sides on one day so its next week now.

Alias, I was going to start today but let myself get far too hungry so i've had un-lc stuff :(

Will be at nieces Wed eve and all Thur so will be difficult to get started then, maybe Friday, lcing on work days are usually good for me.
    No promises tho!

I thought it was the being overweight that affected fertility not the low carbing, not sure though.

Narabanekeater, nice to have you here.

My consultant has told me that there is no problem low carbing to lose weight when you are trying to conceive. IN fact I've got pregnant three times while low carbing (it's later on that I have problems).

What I didn't want was to be in ketosis while I was pregnant (I don't have any medical reason about this, it's just my gut feeling), so the way I did it was to low carb very strictly for the two weeks prior to ovulation, then ease off a bit in the next two weeks, then if I wasn't pregnant go back to strict until next ovulation. It slows it down a bit but to me it helped satisfy any worries I had about ketosis and pregnancy. Obviously the moment you find you are pregnant you should stop and go to a more balanced way of eating.

Oh my, this place is extremely quiet these days. You can't all be being bad? :D

I've not been eating properly today, the electricity was off for a large part of the day so cooking was off the menu and it was a case of grab 'whatever'. However I'm just back from a 4.5 mile walk so I feel like it's evened out a wee bit.

I'm getting fed up of the same kind of foods though, chicken is losing it's appeal again.

I got a pressie from a friend yesterday...a pack of Elizabeth Arden 8 hour Cream and Lip Protectant. Tis wonderful stuff, it's the softest my lips have been in ages. Highly recommend it if anyone is thinking of treating themselves. :)

Not much point in me having soft lips, no one kisses 'em, i'll stick with my rough, cracked, sore, dry, scaly ones thanks :D

    Pretty Mazzers.

Well done on the walking aliasjo, it's really impressive. Very good for you too.

Well I had my first weigh in at the clinic yesterday; it was only day five and I'd lost a shade under 3 pounds which I was very pleased with but the therapist seemed a bit disappointed. However, I just started my period this morning which might explain it. Still, this is the lowest I've been for quite some time and means that since the beginning of Jan I've now lost 1 stone 2.5lb. Oddly though, I don't look any different (to me) in the mirror. I think it's because I focus so much on my lower tummy that I don't notice other things changing.

hope you're all being good and enjoying your food. Those of you who are bored, may I remind you that food is really rather amazing. And packets are really rather dubious. THat is all. xxx

Lol Maz, don't feel left out.....just because I have a male presence in the house does not mean I'm getting any. :p:rotfl:

Well done Sarah...heading in the right direction.

  • Morning :hello:

You know that 'antioxidant' chocolate I bought the other week, well don't buy it!! I finally opened it last night & it's bleurgh!! _pale_ It just had a horrible cardboardy taste. Having said that, I'm still going to finish it coz it was expensive (for chocolate) & there's still 6 days worth left!! Does that make me tight and/or stupid?! :rotfl:

Still sticking with low-gi & now onto day 3!! Doesn't sound much, but the way I've been eating lately it's a bloomin' miracle!! :o

Have a good day everyone
