Morning peeps. Horrible damp, grey, drizzly day here today. Definitely a day for the house but daughter has something on this afternoon so will have to brave the cold later. So who among us is doing the marathon today then? :rotfl:

Scales have stayed static for days again. I'm back to eating too many peanuts, I'm sure that's the cause. I wish I could find something to nibble on that a) wasn't chicken and b) didn't make any difference to the scales. :D

I'm finding my usual icing very restrictive just now. Don't know what's caused the change in attitude. Maybe I just need to be less strict with the carb intake and accept it will take longer to lose. Either that or start saving to join sarah on her packet mash routine. :rotfl:

Got myself a new pair of walking boots yesterday, I figured if I'm going to do this, I'm as well being safe when I do it. (I nearly went over on my ankle the other day because my footwear just wasn't meant for hill climbing.) Will need to save up for 6 years to afford a decent jacket to go with them, they are extortionate!

Maybe if I just don't buy food at all, that would help. Lose weight and can afford a jacket all at once. :D

No idea what I'm going to be eating today, I think I'm going to go read up on the new Atkins thing, I could do with some new inspiration.

See you all later, have a good day.

sistercas, enjoy your pub grub today :D

Right, I've really got to get myself ready for this marathon, I'm sure I should be running by now!! And in London. ;) See y'all later.

Alias have you tried those roasted salted soya bean thingys from tesco?
Similar - ish to salted peanuts, 6.9g per 100g but you cant eat more than a handful as they're rather dry so thats 1.7g per 25g, bit dry but ok with a drink ;)
I quite like em now :)

How many carbs in peanuts? anyone know?

Oh and btw, does no one on here cook Sunday roasts?
Is that a Welsh thing Sunday dinner?
It's a fab lc meal if you use the schwarz gravy mix too.

Sunny, what are herb salad leaves?? :o

just been and had a look at the bag, its a mixture of baby salad leaves with chives and coriander. I bought it by mistake a couple of weeks ago and liked it so have bought it again.

I`ll be eating home grown lettuce soon :j the herbs need to catch up though cos they`re still tiny. I tried to grow leeks last year to help with the lc food bill but they were having none of it :D

Morning - well it's been 2 weeks since my op and I have decided that I may well survive! It's been a bit dodgy after I read about a 12 year girl who got a DVT and died after her appendix op (I refused to wear the stockings) and then the bloke from Poison who had his appendix out and a week later has a brain haemorrhage. Took a good few stiff talkings to for my balance to be restored.

Now I need off the carbs, feel very sluggish and 'down' and so need to get rid of all the rubbish in me. Making toast was soooooo easy and expensive ice-cream was sooooooooo good for my ragged throat and tender insides. NO MORE!

    Bacon and eggs for breakfast
    Chicken and salad for lunch
Still have no idea what's for evening meal

    :p
  • Morning all :hello:

Tis a beautiful sunny morning here in the North East so feeling quite positive & cheery today :D I even have the patio door open it's that nice, just waiting for the local stray cats to wander nonchalently in!!

Sunny, I like the sound of that herb salad, might have to try that as it's definitely getting to be salad weather :)

Gers, glad to see you're on the mend & hope you start feeling in a pollyanna mood soon :) If you do, can you send some my way please!!

I'm starting back on low-gi today, I've had enough of wallowing in rubbish food & self-pity :o Time to get my act together!! I've put a few lbs back on & my confidence has taken a nose-dive :(

Finally getting our new car this week :j I so wanted to be slimmer before we got it, but I've failed miserably, probably won't feel like driving it now :o And I'm hormonal, so in a bit of a [STRIKE]mad[/STRIKE] weird mood as well, probably best to let hubby drive it until I feel more 'normal' :o

Give me a kick up the backside somebody!! :rotfl:

See you later, hope everyone has a good day today.

We used to always have a proper Sunday dinner when I were a lass :rotfl: I should really make more of an effort as it's great for me to eat on low-gi as well, I'm just too bl00dy lazy to make it!! :o

Btw, are you starting back on low-carb this week??
    Hope everything ok.
