OH has a routine whereby if he loses x amount each week (whatever his own personal goal is) then he has a day off on Sunday and eats whatever he wants. Problem was, so did I.
My problem is that hubby is training for the Edinburgh marathon next month & he needs a lot to eat. Unfortunately, I think I can (& do) match his eating even though I'm a lazy slug in comparison!!No wonder I have a weight problem!!

The stockings... just another 'control' feature which I fight against as a matter of course. Whilst lying under the knife for an hour may not be the best thing for one's health :rotfl: the combination of plastic mattress, plastic pillows, locked windows, mega hot wards and stockings would have killed me off. Some nurse told me off for walking in bare feet (something I done my whole life, and don't actually own a pair of slippers) on the basis that I 'might fall' - my reply was 'but I might not'.
Anyway, I survived, sans stockings and now sans appendix.
Just came back to say that there's a recipe for Chocolate Chip Muffins here:

LOL.
We always have sunday roasts. Had them when I was a kid and am trying to follow on the tradition with my son. Though it was tough this weekend - son and hubby had roast chicken, I had a weird packet potato pie thing. With the same veg as them. But my god, that chicken smelt good.
Still, I feel in the zone. Done three days so far and lost 2lb. Really starting to understand that I dont' need the portion sizes that I've been chowing on; it's quite stunning how small amounts can actually fill you up if you give it time after the meal - instead of diong what I usually do and stufffin gmy face with cheese and nuts after I've finished.
And though I wouldn't be doing this extreme diet if I weren't desperate, it's secretly rather thrilling to be having things like chocolate and pear mousse and hot chocolate and pizza, even if they do come out of a packet. Been so long since I've eaten sinful things like that, I'm almost enjoying it all...0 -

Today was mostly LC - apart from the sliced mango I've just eaten, seem to have a craving for the juiciness and taste.
Apart from that stuck to regime, even had decaf coffee as I ventured out to M&S today (only about quarter of a mile to the Haymarket one) and brought back some double cream. Walk was 'interesting' and very warm. Not so much sore as really uncomfortable and very slow, however I really enjoyed being outside again. Have to admit that carrying shopping home wasn't the best idea I've had in the world...won't do that again anytime soon.
