Sarah, i'd love you to keep posting as i've read the blurb and am interested to know how you get on.
There is an alizonne diet plan thread on here too if you want to swap info.
Good luck x

been for an eye test today and my eyes are fine, I paid for a photo of the retina £10  and all looked absolutely normal ,
ended up having a chicken select meal minus the chips as i had to wait around for my glasses to be done, it was yummy but probab ly not low carb
just making a chilli for tea which i'll have with cauli, am going to try and focus on proper lcarbing again cos I enjoy it when I get into it0 -
Hi all,
I was wondering if I could join you?
I've just recently started low carbing (second week now) and have spent the last few weeks reading the old thread, and this one. I have read IPD and brought the cook book, but am not following that strictly as Im a type 1 diabetic so need more carbs that Atkins or IPD recommend.
I'm finding the change a lot easier than I thought, I'm enjoying drinking water and eating foods I never thought I would enjoy (namely veg) and have lost 4lbs in the first week.
From what I have read so far I think you're all doing brilliantly, the information on this thread is great and knowing people are doing the same things as me is a real motivational tool.
There are some inspirational stories in these threads, I can't wait till I start looking and feeling more healthy.Currently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350Debt free date October 2014:jDoing it for my girlies!!:j38lbs lost in 2011SW for May 8lb/7lb0 -

Morning all. Just sticking my head round the door to say I'm still here, lol. Amazingly I've lost 5 lbs of the half stone I'd put on during my couple of weeks of not playing so I'm pleased about that. Must have been mostly fluid though, I think.
Getting seriously fed up with my humdrum pc/tv/pc/tv/pc/tv routine but struggling to find something to replace it with that a) doesn't cost much and c) I can do myself. Things are pretty boring when you've got no-one to share stuff with. :undecided
Anyway, hope you're all doing fine, sweet I hope [STRIKE]your family is not[/STRIKE] you're not suffering today because of your Mexican food.:D
sistercas, good news about your eyes. I'm thankful I've only got my greed to worry about, lol...I'd hate to have to constantly think about other things like this too.
sarah, we need detailed updates so don't bother going anywhere!
Well I suppose I'll need to have a date with my ironing board today....... I really don't know how I manage the excitement tbh. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

went into ketosis again today on the treadmill, very very mildly compared to last time
I suspect I am not charging up the 2000cal glycogen store we have so in normal use I am border line enough glycogen but under heavy activity (15 mins this morning) I get acetone breath which goes about an hour after I have eaten
all very peculiar / interesting
the other downside its getting harder and harder to push my HR up :mad:0 -

Well hello all you lucky people eating real food. I've only been doing the Alizonne for a morning and already I'm looking back wistfully at low carb!
The food is weird. It's basically just babyfood and drinks. Weird puree of 'oatmeal' for breakfast that made me feel really nauseous about half an hour after I ate it (or maybe that wa the vitamins? I remember some people on low carb complained about feeling nauseous after taking their vits). Then a far-too-sweet grapefruit and orange drink for a mid morning snack. Just had the best so far, a beef and onion soup that I added chopped chives to, and now eating a green salad. You have to eat something every two to four hours or it doesn't work as well.
And yesterday, the treatments were really weird. I was strapped into an ultrasound machine that had a piercing high noise that really stressed my ears out, and then given endermologie while wearing a freaky lycra bodysuit. I began to wonder if this was actualy some S&M chamber I'd stumbled on rather than a weight loss clinic...
Anyway. Enjoy your day lowcarbies. I'll be following you nostalgically....0 -
sweet loved the cover its enough to make anyone hot and steamy never mind the ironing
just lost a huge post  dont know why - but its pigging annoying
sarah just been on the alizonne website, it looks very interesting it certainly seems to work I like the bit about the skin shrinking back, Im afraid I could only afford one packet of food so I dont think it would work for me
been to mr T today and noticed the full fat greek yog has more carbs than the fat free and same with the processed cheese slices. why is that ? I thought the lower fat ones had more carbs and thats why we shouldnt have them0
