I have my second weigh in at the clinic tomorrow so a strong laxative tonight, I think.
Now that definitely was TMI!! :rotfl: Fingers crossed for your weigh-in.
Eric, they are great results, well done!! I'm guessing the figures on the right are the figures you were aiming for?? If so, you are doing brilliantly.
Btw, I think I might have been on that pizza, curry & chocolate diet as well!!The good thing is it's still possible to eat those things if you want to  But not the same as before
Low/lower carb alternatives:

Curry http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make-butter-chicken
Chocolate http://www.greenandblacks.com/uk/what-we-make/bars/dark-70.html
Warning: All of these sites are guaranteed to make you drool!!:rotfl:0 -

The figures on the right are the targets that the NHS say everyone should be under or the ideal target range.
My doctors amazed that someone as large as me has figure that are near perfect, my BP is 123/78 and my resting HR is 58, as i said on Jan 4th I was super super morbidly obese
go go healthy oils
many thanks for the links, I am however more than happy with steak and wedgesas I have my own patented weight loss system that I am following (although it has been amended after finding this thread) with pretty decent results so far, actually I am beating a lot of the people with gastric surgery lol

Now, about this patented weight loss system, any chance of a diet sheet
For many years I have just been reading up on most of the diet systems and mainly on the research testing them and put together what the research has shown into one place.
Losing weight is 90% in the head if your not in a good place its not going to work, dieting fails so it has to be a permanent lifestyle change, the big one for me is understanding that some foods cause the brain to release hormones from the pleasure centre which causes addictive like behaviour and cravings, "detoxing" these makes it so much easier.
Then its pretty common sense, lots of fresh foot and veg, lots of lean protein of all types (fish, red meat, chicken, oily fish) about 30% of cals from healthy oils and fats and then the bugbear for this thread carbs, I am not anti carbs but it is plainly clear that for our modern sedentary lifestyle we eat way to many carbs, especially at night carb loading a few hours before sleep is a no no, carbs before an exercise session or manual work is fine. The main thing is you need to control how many cals you eat, the laws of thermal dynamics are an unbendable mistress
Oh and the bugbear for many people Exercise, you have to do it, builds up the metabolism and stops it from going into starvation mode, and with some strength training it increases your BMR so you can eat more
If your really bored you can read my ramblings on it from the WL support thread I take part in

Don't worry Eric, I didn't expect you to start eating them, it was just tongue-in-cheekWell done on the weightloss, that's amazing :T
Morning all :hello:
Got a bit of a headache this morningbut enjoyed the wine last night
Sat & watched Ashes to Ashes & then Dr. Who on catch-up, bloomin' scary those weeping angels though!! :rotfl:
Going to try & get out for a walk today as haven't done anything worthwhile all week, just a couple of walks to the shop & that's itI have been busy with other things though, at least that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!!
Not sure what I'll be having for dinner tonight, we're thinking of eating out to celebrate hubby keeping his job. Depending where we go, I'll try & stick with low-gi. However, if we go to Whitby ...
Made roasted butternut squash soup yesterday (with loads of veggies & lentils) so will be having that for lunch today yum yum
See you all later
Ps. alias, hope you doing ok, getting worried about you now0 -
Hello lovely people, please can I join you? I haven't had time to read it all - this thread is epic but the few pages that I have read have made me smile.
Yesterday I got on the scales and almost fainted. I reached my highest weight ever and its not good. None of my good clothes fit, I'm waddling around all out of breath and I feel sooo unattractive I don't even want to leave the house. I've been fat forever but never this bad. I've tried a million and one diets in teh past but my biggest sucess have been with low carb ones. I love bread dearly but I only have to look at a loaf and I put on a lb! I think I'm going to follow Lyle MacDonald's rapid fat loss - it works very quickly and I can start to go to the gym again when I've lost the 30ish lbs I've put on since this time last year. Wish me luck please!!!There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0
