Hope your on the mend now. Know exactly what you mean about lack of support. Seems to have become very negative.

I need to ask......have I got anything to do with this feeling? Are my 'I'm bad, I've eaten this' type of posts a problem? I do tend to rabbit about anything and everything and I promise I wouldn't be offended if people said they preferred this to be more of a factual type of thread?

Edit: Actually this might be a good question to ask of all of you? Go on...I can take it. :D

personally for me i hadnt noticed a shift in the tone of the thread in a detrimental way although ive only been posting again a week - but some ppl have been struggling and have been posting negative posts or thoughts - myself included
however i dont see that as an issue as it is meant to be a support thread ??

i certainly havent seen any posts that where negative to somebody else - from the regs at least ?

    maybe im missing something ??

alias i love having you back on the thread and hearing about your ups and downs with family life - same with sweet and maz with everyone really - i feel like i know you all to some degree

the last time i remember there being a horrible negative vibe was when tinks and someone whose name i cant remember was being a bit holier than thou.....

maybe the guys who are feeling this negitivity can be a bit more precise so we can address it ? and im sorry if its me xxxx

  • All I meant was there used to be talk about money saving offers (H&B) , recipes etc and the humour has been missing. This help us avoid getting too upset with our lives and that has not been the case recently. I think we all struggle and that needs to be discussed but lets have a bit of a laugh too.

I'm still around in the background, and the only reason i'm not posting is because of personal problems and diets taking a back seat atm.
I thought the negative comments being referred to were from the invasion a few pages back.
As Daisy said, its a support thread, and i too love hearing about everyones ups and downs.
Alias, you just cheer everyone up imo.

Someone from way back didnt like the way the thread was going and went to a different one that took things 'more serious' so it's up to each person to decide whether to stay or not, i certainly dont want to go back to being criticised for not sticking to the woe.
The thread has become what it is due to the people that post here, and if it ever gets too serious then i shall leave, end of story.

That's what worries me, I know I can be too 'full' on sometimes which is why I thought it prudent to ask. :rotfl: I honestly wouldn't like to think I was putting people off.

I promise to post about chicken and lettuce tomorrow. :D

Night peeps, going to try to get an early night. I definitely eat more if I'm tired, so hopefully tomorrow might be more manageable with a decent night's sleep under my belt.

Maz...hope things went acccording to plan. x

from a personable perspective i guess i just havent had a lot to actually laugh about recently hence my posts being negative i think - not just about my eating but my whole life really

i will make more of an effort to be more upbeat and interact in a more positive way with everyone from now on - i have been feeling very sorry for myself lately :(

alias dont ever go changing xx

Jeez, I dunno, I just love all of you :) daisy for goodness sake hun - you've been through the mill lately, to put it mildly! - life is what it is - please don't apologise for that. I for one have been awe-inspired by your bravery. Same goes for all of you and how you cope xx Personally I hate airbrushing more than anything else. I'd rather hear the truth, warts an all. And if folk are having a tough time, then we do what we can to help each other, no?

And alias - if you come on here tomorrow talking about chicken and lettuce, I'll resign :D :rotfl:

The thread is what we all make it. :) Sorry peeps I'll shut up now:o

    Much love to all,
    Sazzy xxxx
