Another confused peep here, thought I was in a parallel universe for a minute  Talking of which, haven't seen or heard from Gers for ages?? ;)

Talk of a coincedence! Been out of action for a while and just popped in to see if things had 'calmed' down in here and found your post - :j:j thanks.

After my Oz trip I just found that some posts in here were not as supportive as before and I stopped looking. :( I know I can be a bit of a Pollyanna sometimes, but it keeps me going.

Anyway, had a difficult time for the past week which includes an emergency hospitalisation and removal of appendix in double quick time  Back at home now and getting better but eating, mostly, toast and peanut butter, toast and cheese or toast and ham - only stuff that I really fancy. :( Will wean myself off the toast soon, but it's just so handing to make easily when hunger pangs hit me during the day and I can't stay upright to cook much longer than toast takes to make!

I'll back - long as this is a LC support thread that is. Haven't read the 'missed pages' as my bed is calling to me (sleeping loads at the mo) but hope that you're all weathering the negative invasion better than I did.

    Morning everyone

back on track this morning :j

Brekkie is bacon, scramblies, sausages and mushrooms.

Dinner will be chicken thigh and salad

Tea will be an ancient pork steak and leeks.

Snack will be cheese & salami and strawbs and cream YUM

Woke up this morning feeling bloated and a bit windy, far too much wine last night :o I`ve hidden my voddie as DH keeps on pinching it. I shall start some more wine off in the demi johns tomorrow i think. DH gets through it at a rate of notts so far cheaper to keep some in for him. When its ready i don`t bottle it all as i try to keep a demi john full in the fridge but thats empty now and the last bottle has almost gone.

Shattered now as i woke at 430am and couldn`t get back to sleep so i started cooking so at least thats out of the way for today and all the pots are washed and put away :j

Just about to walk the houndlets, lovely and sunny outside but its very windy, hope that the washing stays on the line

    Have a good day everyone.

Alias - How did it go with the spaniard :D

LOL, only on this thread would an appendectomy be seen as good news. I think they are very small and so for the amount of aggro, the weight loss would be negligible. But it made me laugh.

Put on summer wedges today with anticipatory plasters - four of them - as I've had them four years and they rub me every year. Actually, four years' use from one pair of wedges is quite MSE, isn't it? Though they were from Russell and Bromley, which isn't.

    Today:
    B: yog and berries
    L: Egg and bacon salad
    D: prob stuffed peppers.

Also, those of you who are being crap (unless you're ill), pull yourselves together. Summer's coming, do you want your flabby bits hanging out of your sundresses again? PUT THE CARBS DOWN! THEY DON'T LOVE YOU!
  • Gers, good to see you back but eek about the appendix!! Hope you feeling better very soon :) I think you're allowed toast, toast & more toast when you're recovering from an op :D

    Hope everyone else doing ok

Hope your on the mend now. Know exactly what you mean about lack of support. Seems to have become very negative.
