hey sunnyday nice to see you on here
Alias Mazzers is right the more you do the more they sit on their @rses. I have been on strike all weekI have kept the bathroom and kitchen clean and done the washing but I am NOT picking up anything they drop ( the house looks like a tip but I am determined) until they get the message, or I blow my top at the mess ( wonder which will come 1st - as if I cant guess)
You may as well give in and do it now coz if they're like mine they will not even notice the mess.
I've tried that so many times and just got stressed as i watched it build up, and then been inundated with dirty pants and socks.
The only thing that works for me is gathering it up (after giving a warning) and throwing the whole lot up the garden whether it is raining or not, and leaving it there, at least the house still looks tidy !!0 -
Morning all - hope you had a good weekend, and good result if weighing in.After having a break from Atkins last weekend, and not putting any weight onthought it might show up this week, so really pleased to find I've lost 4 lbs . Been doing loads of gardening, so am sure that's helped.Started Atkins on 8th Jan and have now lost 32 lbs.Hope the lamb offer is still on in Tesco this week as doing my monthly shop tomorrow.0

Hi everyone,
i went a bit mad when i got home from work last night and ate a sausage and a chicken drumstick and another piece of belly porkthen i had a piece of cheese and some salami.
At least it was all lc stuff, for the first time in ages i didn`t have a bottle of lager or a couple of glasses of wine :j I did look at it though and then headed straight for the fridge for some CSI munchies.
Today so far i`ve had two cold sausages and a cold piece of bacon cos i`m cleaning the living room whilst i have no hounds in the way, can`t be bothered to heat anything up, little black cat is taking full advantage and has just been sat on the unit so that i can`t see the screen.
Late i shall have scramblies before work and then take something out of the fridge to have later, i`ve some salami & cheese in a tub ready and i`ll probably take the same as yesteday tbh.
If i remember rightly from last time i couldn`t stop eating for the first two to three weeks so i`m expecting the same this time.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Well things have gone from bad to worse. Just had a big argument with OH before he left and I headed straight for the junk cupboard. I'm sick of doing this to myself, how the hell do I stop it?
It's so tough. You have to break that emotional connection with food: 'I'm upset, I can't deal with the emotion, I need food to make it better'. The food forces the emotion down and then you feel better, short term, but then you hate yourself for breaking the diet. I know I'm not telling you anyhing you don't know, but it's the same for me. It's finding a way to get right in there, when the emotion arises, and divert yourself from the food cupboard. Can you go and punch pillows and scream? You need to actually confront the emotion. It's what I'm trying to do. I've tried writing it down too in angry rants. Sometimes works.
I do appreciate though, that none of this is as easy as sticking your face in the trough, which is why I'm still such a porker...0 -
I lied.. i've put 3 lbs on, must've been the extreme dehydration yesterday0

Hello you lot :hello:
Just thought I'd pop in to post the 2nd part of the Daily Mail 'new & improved' Atkins diet. I noticed that one reader comment was that it was very much like the IPD. Haven't looked at the article properly yet so can't say if it is or not.

Well I'm still sticking with low-gi & I lost 2lbs last week so feeling really chuffed with myself!!I have been walking every day, usually just 30 minutes instead of the hour I'm supposed to do, but I do think that's made a big difference.
Oh, btw, fresh caulis are half price in Tesco - 50p!!!! Not sure how long for though, I forgot to look.
Hope everyone doing ok :wave:0 -
