Well if we're havnig a hell for leather day, I'll hand round the martinis. I could do with one -hair of the dog. Ahem.

People at work are really p-ing me off today - I could do with a martini, or ten!

Lol....shopping on a martini high. Mmm, could be a laugh. :D

I need inspiration, Tell me what to buy from Morrisons someone. In fact just go do my shopping for me. I hate this, I wish I just didn't have to bother about food at all, it's such a faff.

I know what you mean Alias. In an ideal world I'd prepare all my meals from scratch, and quite often I do. But there are times I just can't be bothered with food shopping - I'm just too tired usually from work and the flipping commute - I'm late home, it's cold and raining and I'm tired and hungry and all I want to do is get home and eat. When I feel like that I tend to buy stuff like ready cooked chickens, or ready meals that are not too horrendous carbwise, bags of pre-prepared veg - like shredded leeks and cabbage, that take 5 minutes to cook in the microwave. O/h sometimes buys tins of readymade chilli, stuff like that which just needs reheating. Sorry this is probably not remotely helpful....

Lol...anything that helps me cut corners cooking wise is helpful. :D Never thought about tins of stuff before tbh, just assumed it would all be high but will wander down the tin aisle like a furtive shoplifter next week and will check out all labels.

Anyway, I'm back. (As you can tell cos I'm writing this :D.)

£93 flipping quid I spent ( includes £5 for a hair dye and £6 for an Easter Egg with a car in it ) < that's the new roll eyes smilie btw ;).

I've got very little to show for it. 3 packs of chicken breasts, 2 ready made chicken meals (on offer), some reduced price white fish and a bit of salmon, some sausages and bacon and the rest was veg, fruit and a few toiletries. How the hell the peeps on the OS board feed 6 million people for a pound I do not know.

What doesn't help is the fact that OH has started his diet this week, only he's calorie counting and eating low fat stuff. So I need to buy some low fat AND full fat cream cheese for example. Doesn't make for a cheap shopping bill.

I've just had some cold chicken diced with a little (very thinly sliced and diced so it looks like there's loads) cucumber/pepper/tomato mixed with some..............HEINZ DELI MAYO WITH SUNDRIED TOMATOES. I had to emphasise that cos it's lovely. :D It's also a really good substitute for the seafood sauce I used to have in my prawn cocktails. Same taste, less carbs. You only need a little...if you spend some time mixing it in, it will cover loads for just a few carbs. Love it. :D

I'm really tired today, clearly a result of all the carbs I've been eating over the last 3 days. I've got withdrawals again just like the first day all over again. I'm going to try really hard to be good, I need to break the cycle before the carbs really get a hold. YOU WITH ME MAZ?! ;)

    Hey peeple.

A bit of good news to spur you on. You know how I've been a serial moaner about not losing enough or quickly? About a month ago I went mooching round the shops near work (nothing great, just Dorothy P, Monsoon, Next, usual nonsense). I thought I might be able to fit into a size smaller but no joy, just misery and frustration and aghastness at the unsightly rolls. You know, I'm sure you've all had days like that. That was after two months of dieting. I was really despondent.

Today I went in and almost willed myself to have a !!!! time again. I picked up size 16 skinny leg jeans, which didn't fit me a month ago, and size 14 tops in styles that normally fit my top half but are too tight over my hips.

Guess what? They all fit. I was so pleased I didn't even need to buy anything (they weren't that great). I just kept looking at myself in the mirror and going, hello. I remember you. You're slowly appearing again from under the layers of blob.

So that's my little push in the right direction to those of you that are circling weight loss but not getting anywhere. I'm not being smug, I'm in the same boat as all of you bt bloody hell, it feels good when it suddenly works. And as I haven't lost much in actual poundage, it has to be the yoga that's doing it, tightening me up. woot.

    *happy dance*

    Sarah thats brill :)

I was the same last year, lost size-wise but not poundage.

The only thing i dont like about lc is that as soon as you have some carbs the bloat is back, all the tops i bought for my hols last year ( fit perfectly) but when i was away and ate carbs within three days nothing would fit me.

So i'm finding a few extra carbs and that doesnt seem to be happening.

Had a lovely day, did nothing but laugh :rotfl:

The scales have finally moved! Only by a pound mind, but it's the first time they've moved downwards in weeks.

Going to have a busy day today so hopefully food wont be on my mind too much.

fruity....night out? What's that? Oh wait a minute.....I'd better go ask Maz, she'll know. ;):D

Maz, have a good night out, hope the lip is better.

Good going sarah, I'd be well chuffed if I was you.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Dont keep mine in the fridge.

Lamb has been cooked for 5 hours, is lovely and tender and ready cooked for tomorrow :p

Slugs are very nutritious btw, and all the slime is good for the bowels :rotfl:(also helps it slide down easily)
