Well now you pair, when me and my ex split up..
I lost three stone in eight weeks
never in all my years of starving myself have i been able to repeat that little gem
but, the thing is, even tho i lost it fast (and i was 45 at the time) my skin went back with it, no hanging bits, honest :)

I wouldnt want to repeat it in all honesty, as it was a baaaaaad time :(
But i wish i'd worrked harder at keeping it off.
I looked really young again and size 10 trousers were slipping off me, my top was a 12 though, always an uneven size!!

    Wow!

(But 3 stone is a drop in my ocean. Anecdotal tales from 'the world's fattest person might be more appropriate. :rotfl:)

Strangely. i was over 5 stone overweight ( but thats from when i was younger and only 9st 2lb) a bit of an unrealistic weight now methinks, so i was still over 11 stone, but just didnt look it, prob from wasted lean tissue or something,

Right, sorry to keep on about bg, but it is an obsession atm, and it seems to be lower first thing when i've been bad and higher when i've been good, so am completely and utterly confused.
Have also decided to stick with SW as (altho i've been on and off) i've lost 1.5 lb.. again, confusing.

I lost loads of weight when my ex left too. Sadly, the weight came back and brought plenty of friends with it, so I now have nine stone to lose. NINE! However, I've done eight days without a single cheat since I hopped back on the wagon, and I'm still going strong.

    Yesterday:
    scrambled eggs
goats cheese in bacon with salad
    spare ribs, stirfried veg
    snacks: babybel, nuts

    Today:
    bacon & sausage & mushrooms
smoked salmon & Boursin roll-ups and salad
garlic & rosemary roast lamb, cauli, cabbage, swede

Well done rosy, one stone at a time as they say :)

You'll probably find that you dont need to lose 9 as it comes off.

Chicken dinner cooked, just the little matter of the roller blind before my son arrives at 6.30 :)

I did read somewhere that as skin is a living organ it does shrink as you lose weight. also I read its important not to lose muscle when losing weight ,
lose body fat and keep muscles toned and hopefully we wont be wobbly forever :D

kids are making tea as a treat  which means there will be nothing I can eat and yet if I dont they will be disappointed - cant win :( still its really sweet of them
  • The skin issue is one that I have tried to find out about. Did read an interview with a personal trainer in our local paper who said that she could help anyone without medical issues get their stomach tightened up. Also remember reading that low carbing was better for it as you lose the fat layer below the skin when other diet you lose a proprotion of everything. Did see some pictures in a magazine that were scary but think they were gastric band people.
I am still losing weight very slowly and not experienced any problems so far. Belly is definitely getting wobbly.

Hi all - I wonder if I can join you.

I've been on Atkins since the 8th January, and have lost 26lbs.

I got a bit pee'd off with it last week, and came off it Fri/Sat/Sun and ate normally!! Was expecting the worst when I weighed myself this morning, but was really pleased that I had actually still lost 1lb.

There are so many paged on this thread, that I'm just going to go back and read the last few pages.

Hope all of you weighing in today get a good result.
