Lol....maybe I was just reminiscing of my own diet when I was young.......:DHe also expects to be waited on when here, but i draw the line at 'mum, make me toast, i dont know where the knives are'..
I can beat that...mine used to text me from his bedroom asking for cheese on toast. He always got told where to get off mind, but it didn't stop him trying. :rotfl:

Morning all. Aliasjo, that's hilarious. Mine's not quite up to that being only five, but I'm sure he'd consider it a brilliant idea if he could spell!
Hacked off, pound back on this morning despite four days in a row of exercise, and seven days in a row with no booze, no choc, small portions. What's up with that? I know it's all par for the course with lc but it !!!!!! me off.
B: a cold sausage
L: out with friend at Prezzo. Probably one of their chicken dishes.no idea, up to husband.
I have a severe test later; got to make 80 cupcakes for tomorrow morning (a 40th birthday, getting good money for it though). The worst bit is when I get frosting on my hands - 40 years of licking the stuff off is quite hard to break out of. And I'm trying a new chocolate cupcake recipe, which means I need to taste it - please send willpower of steel to me to stop me chowing down the whole thing.0 -
Thanks all! I went for a sleep (in reception, the only vaguely comfortable place in the office, where my colleagues proceeded to poke me and check for signs of life) and then got a bun from Gregg's, which definitely helped me through the afternoon.
Today's my "diet day off" so I've had a full breakfast, cheese straw, cheese-filled croissant, toblerone... heheh, love itMortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

That stuff's in my local health food shop too - they have Belgian Chocolate flavour! It's lush and low GI / moderately low carb (for a granola) but it ain't half pricey! How much was yours? I think I paid £3.99...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

£3.41 for 500g its lovely but it has put my blood sugar up from 6.6 to 9.4 in 1 hour
I will try it again but it looks like another no-no for me0 -

Just noticed you changed your avvy again sweet.
But not the wording.(At least I'm assuming the wording is leftover from Jessica Rabbit days? :rotfl:)
Lol, unfortunately it was deliberate!! When I changed my avvy pic I was most definitely trying to look like a big fat hippo, the amount of food I was stuffing into my mouth, so I just left the wording as it was!!Will change my avvy & wording (I'm never satisfied with what I've got) next week, if (that's a big if) I'm still being good.
fruity, glad the crisis was averted!! Hoorah for finding stuff lurking in the fridge!! :rotfl: That's the thing with lcing, you gotta be organised.
sarah, good luck with the willpower!! Chocolate cupcakes, mmmmmmmm ...
Badger (hiya, btw) & sistercas, I noticed granola was mentioned quite a bit on the diabetes website I was looking at the other day & was thinking about trying it?? What do you have it with, soya milk?? cream (mmmmm, like the sound of that!!)?? or just dry?? *confused*
I've just had a corned beef salad for lunch (lettuce, corned beef, 3 x cherry toms, blob of coleslaw, blob of cottage cheese) made a nice change from my usual. So will definitely be having the lc crispbreads for supper (with my wine)
Have a luverly weekend everyone!! :laugh:0 -
