I just came back to confess. Took daughter to swimming class, went to chip shop, sat in car park with fish and chips a can of diet coke and a newspaper.

Had to tell otherwise it will become a dirty little secret iyswim.

OH has just phoned, he's on his way home from work and has stopped off in Morrisons, asked if I needed anything. He's been instructed to buy wine. I need therapy.

I dont understand these bs. 3 hours after my HUGE mothers day meal my blood sugar was 5.8! lowest its been for yonks
yet whilst i'm low carbing I cant get it below 6.2 even after hours of nowt to eat,
my morning fasting bs is around 7 and after eggs and bacon it goes to around 9 :( its weird
is your hosp appointment to do with your sugars?

It is, its for a glucose tolerance test.

A common phenomenon, read this, it cleared things up for me.. a bit.
Stick with it, he gives a simple version.

Well on my second week of atkins inductions (or my version of it). I felt really slim this morning and couldnt resist weighing myself, Ive put on 2 pounds of the 8 lost last week:eek:. I even measured myself to see if had lost inches but alas they are the same as when I started. I have been eating a few more allowed snacks than I did on the first week and adding a small glass of red wine to my evening meal, so I suppose I shall be giving those up. Every diet or healthy eating programme I have ever embarked on is the same. I just cannot get away from the basic plans no extras. I think I am going to start exercising 30 minutes a day to see if that makes a difference.:j Bummer I hate excercise, I walk to work everday and always take the stairs but need to get sweaty I suppose. Not letting this get to me, i truly want this fat off, I cant face another summer as a fat lass!:( Right got myself fired up-off to get the stepper out from under the bed.

Jinny, alcohol is ok occasionally, but the body will burn alcohol as fuel first, then carbs then fat, so by cutting down on carbs it should be burning fat, but alas, you are giving it alcohol instead every night.

  • Morning

I'm still here as well, but only just.
Don't feel as bad this morning, but my belly is still bloated, has usually gone down a bit by now.
On the plus side, my skin is definitely looking clearer.

    Food for today:
    B - 2 black farmer sausages (so far ...)
L - 2 lc crispbreads with butter & cheese, BNS soup
    D - to be decided

Made corned beef hash for dins last night. Not sure what I can be bothered to make tonight, might make a bolognaisey/chilli type thing but have to buy leeks for that & can't be bothered to go shopping today so ?? If not I've got chicken boobs in the fridge or cod in butter sauce in the freezer.

Right, think I might go & boil some eggs.
