I'm feeling poorly with a rotton cold, but still struggling through with work. I've eaten loads today - eggs, Quorn, protein bar, fruit - but still having big carb cravings and even feeling tired / dizzy when I stand up.
Should I go get a sandwich?Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Maz, sorry to hear about your boy. How long will it be before he knows for definite one way or the other?
Badger, if you're not well and your at the stage of feeling really tired, I'd relax how strict you are tbh and see if eating more carbs makes any difference. My thoughts are that a sandwich wouldn't be the end of the world and it might just help you at the minute.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Hi all, quiet here again tonight.
Shoulder aching from painting, just the blind to hang, my son done a runner
Been good foodwise, got a bloated belly tho, damn those carbs.0 -

.
A few tests i imagine, he has a terrible diet tho, i've nagged him for years.
A sample diet of his.. first thing litre of red bull, followed by pepsi,
on an empty stomach, obviously, full of sugar, he's not hungry for a while, then it's crisps and rubbish followed by lager, and usually one proper meal a day
He had a good diet when he was young, ate everything without complaint.
I just cant get through to him, maybe the docs can.0 -
Oh oh, dead on here, not a good sign
You can still talk while avoiding lc peeps.
A lovely day so washing going out then i'm off to work, i hope to have a lot of catching up to do later0 -
Yooo hoo! I is here.
I had a lc dinner last night (chicken breast done in tinfoil with herbs and stuff & turnip chips with a little salad) followed by some ice cream.I'm just not quite there again yet.
Feel a bit better moodwise today though, so positivity is returning, albeit slowly.
Back to the DIY for me again today after doing nothing about it for ages. Hopefully I'll burn off the proceeds of my recent greed.
Maz your lad sounds fairly typical. Mine is vain so his spots are an issue and he makes sure he eats as healthily as he can. If it wasn't for that, he'd have a diet like your lad's without doubt.
OH is off for a few days hols so hopefully he will feed us all and I wont need to cook. I'll be more likely to get back icing if I'm just DIYing all day then sitting down to eat what's put in front of me.
Happy Friday everyone!
Sweet.....still haven't forgotten about you!!!!!
Badge, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning.
Sarah....lots and lots of empathy over the APRON (that was specially for sweet, she hates that description :rotfl:). I'm with you girl!

Morning
Yep, tis a bit quiet on here lately.
Well, I ended up looking like Angelina Jolie last nightAte nearly a full packet of S&V peanuts & my lips swelled up because of the vinegar!! :rotfl: I actually had a sort of blister on my top lip, it looked like I'd been punched in the mouth!! Kids thought it was hilarious!! :rotfl: Felt really weird, as if I'd been to the dentist & had a numbing injection, even had the 'dribbling' sensation. Thankfully I'm back to 'normal' this morning but won't do that again in a hurry!!
Food for today:
B - 2 egg cheese/mushroom/mixed peppers/ham omelette (nomnomnom)
L - 2 lc crispbreads with butter & cheese (no soup left) might have some cold meat & coleslaw instead & lettuce if I buy some today
D - cod in butter sauce (yep, boil in the bag for me as well, sistercas), cauli mash, green beans
S - red wine :j & probably more lc crispbreads
Tis a lovely, sunny but extremely breezy day here, so might get out for a walk at some point. Don't fancy running the gauntlet of the gawping builders though so will have to do a sneaky detour on the way back.
Yaay, it's Friday!! Feeling a lot more positive today (the full belly from brekkie helps). Hope everyone doing better today as well. See you all later :wave:0 -

.I think its convenience for the older one, but pies and pastys and ready meals are just soo unhealthy every day.
He eats healthily when he's here ( next week) but still has red bull and pepsi for breakfast.
He also expects to be waited on when here, but i draw the line at 'mum, make me toast, i dont know where the knives are'..
Right, i really am going now0
