Sweet and Mercy are conspicuous by their absence. I suspect I know why sweet's not posting much but Mercy's not usually bad. :rotfl:

    Thanks Sweet!

Had breakfast, bacon and eggs and off to work. Got loads to catch up on so on the run.

Got chicken and salad in the fridge for lunch/evening meal, no wine left and I will NOT buy any more. :A May drive over to Gibside for a turn round the Long Walk for some exercise, walking the streets is not really fun.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Morning! I was here, I fell spectacularly off the wagon, I have been a bit poorly, and now I am back, full of resolve (and bacon & eggs).

I'm only working 2.5 days a week at the moment, so I have more time to snack... I mean to make nice things to eat. Gers, your dinner last night sounds delicious.

How is everyone? There are a lot of pages to look back on.

I'm in such a bad mood.

I want cheese on toast. Or chips.

I'm having such a hard time today, I feel like a junkie going through withdrawals. *sob*

    I hate being female!

I've tried doing allsorts to take my mind off things but I JUST WANT CHIPS! Any carb in fact! Why the hell do I crave carbs so badly at TOTM? There must be a reason for it. I can't even get on with what I need to do cos I just can't concentrate properly and I keep wanting to head for the kitchen.

    *more sobs*

    goes off sulking.........

Poor you Aliasjo. I know what you're going through. When I'm premenstrual my body sets out to the chocolate shop with my mind feebly yelling, stop, stop. But like some shambling brain-numbed beast on Doctor Who I just keep going. Nothing can stop me. Pedestrians in my way get mown down. It is a cruel addiction...

Luckily I dont have much of a sweet tooth so a couple of squares of dark chocolate curb most cravings. I found this recipe (sorry if I already posted it last year!) which should help with the low carb treats (although I haven’t tried making them yet so don’t know how they taste!!!!!)

    4oz butter, softened
    12oz ground almonds
    1oz granulated Splenda
    1 large egg
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
    2 tablespoons granulated Splenda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Directions

In a medium bowl, beat butter until creamy. Add half the ground almonds, 8oz Splenda, egg, vanilla, baking soda and cream of tartar.

Beat until well combined. Beat in remaining ground almonds. Cover and chill in bowl for 1 hour.

    Pre-heat oven to 180c/gm4.

In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons Splenda and the cinnamon; mix well. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls. Gently roll each ball in the cinnamon-Splenda mixture to coat and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly browned at the edges. Carefully remove from pan to cooling rack to cool completely.

Note: 1.5 net carbs per cookie

    I caved.

    2 bowls of cereal

Chicken, sweetcorn, carrots, mashed potato, gravy.

Not good but I'm pragmatic enough to realise it's only a temporary situation and I'm not going to beat myself up.
