Welcome home Gers, glad you had a fab time, wish i could afford a hol this year.
Many thanks - it was worth it!
Today I am mostly eating lots of stuff without carbs. Sitting here with a cup of green tea  and trying to construct a shopping list. Currently the fridge is as empty as a nest in December.
Stuffed my face last night with LC food to try to avoid the carb withdrawals, not entirely convinced it was the correct thing to do.
Hey ho... back to the grind.0 -

I am concered that the ones ive seen are between 25/30 plus carbs, and shakes are easy for me for breakfast and if out with famliy and being led into tempation because im hungry.
thanks
I'm still using dietline shakes that i bought a long time ago from lowcarbmegastore.com, they had a long shelf life as was in powder form, 2.4g carbs per serving, but i cant find them now, they seem to be unavailable.
I will be needing more soon, so will have a scout about.
Ah, just been looking and looks like its a name change for dietline, chocolite @ £14.99 a tub (10 servings), altho out of stock atm is available at lowcarbmegastore but postage bumps up the price (thats why mine have lasted, i ordered 4 tubs) there is also spirutein on page 5 which looks good, not cheap at £20.35.
There are some you can make yourself if you google but i cant be bothered with that i just want to - water, scoop, whizz and away to go0 -
Hey, craftygal, look what i found
http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=12617
Comes in 5 flavours, 75 servings 3.6g carbs and free shipping in UK too.
Dont know if its the same kinda thing, checked ingredients and doesnt have the added vitains and minerals that mine doesbut i take a multivit/mineral daily anyway.
And at 31p a serving (compared to £1.50) I am def gonna be ordering
Thought i'd add that if you want more fibre in it to keep you going for longer, just add some ground flax seeds.
For me, shakes are convenient on work days as i cant eat first thing and it keeps me going til lunch. (its better than having sod all and working on an empty stomach)
Just ordered, thought if i had vanilla flavour i could prob use in pancakes too as lots of recipes have whey protien as a thickener.0 -
Mazzers, let us know how you get on if you road test that shake stuff please. I used to use the Tesco ready made shakes but they've changed them completely and they're no longer lc. I miss them tbh.
Well I haven't weighed today.I had a rubbish night's sleep and got up at 6am. Got two washings on, took the dog out then drove up to Wickes for them opening at 9am. OH was still in bed and I forgot to take the scales out of the room last night so I couldn't weigh before I went iyswim. Will need to do it tomorrow, not optimistic I have to say. I haven't cheated but I'm bloated so I'm probably retaining fluid.
Going to have my breakkie shortly then heading up the loft to fight with the itchy stuff. Yuck!
Had one of my more embarrassing moments on a garage forecourt today, had OH's car instead of my own and couldn't find out how to open the fuel cap so I could fill it up. The other people seemed to find me entertaining judging by all the staring they were doing.Did anyone offer to help...did they hell. Had to quickly phone home to find out where the lever thing was to remotely open the cap. Never again, I'll take my own car next time. I suspect many calories were burned in order to facilitate the heat and the deep shade of red my face was displaying.

Yum, just had a lovely beef dinner, also having a couple of glasses of red wine, come dine left me wanting
Dont know if anyone has tried the value beef joints in tesco but i have had some lovely tender ones, cook slooooowly for a few hours in olive oil and garlic cloves, cover with foil, and turn up heat for half hour to brown later without foil.
Not had a tough one yet. Much more for your money than the other beef joints0
