Why am I always suspicious when they're quiet?!
Still here, still reading, still icing. Just a wee bit fed up right now, things not good at home (again!) so not very sociable at the mo'. Still keeping an eye on you lot though!Herman - MP for all!0 -
Sweets don't disappear. The chat will do you good.
Avstar try using soda water in your drink. You need to give it a while to get used to it. If you drink gin, vodka or bacardi put a slice of lemon or lime to add to the flavour.
Aliasojo don't let them get you down. Do something therapeutic like brisk walk or having a good clear out.
Tis a lovely morning here but cold. Can't wait till the weather heats up to be able to get out in the garden as it is like a bomb site. Our summer was really wet last year, know some of you had not bad, so it is like 2 years of disaster.0 -
had a lovely long lie in this morning but woke up starving!!!!
breakfast/lunch has been a cheese and onion omlette and a bag of southern fried chicken fridge raiders.
not too sure for lunch - I might have the chicken fillet I took out the freezer last night (in my drunken haze I thought it was bacon!!) so either way the chicken has to be eaten today...
am babysitting tonight for one of my friends so have a bag of chilli peanuts to take with me. might even cut the chicken into strips and take them as a snack to dip in mayo...0 -
Todays menu: Yoghurt, cheesy eggs, butternut squash/brocolli/feta/tomato bake.
Dobie - I love all these creamy sauces over the veg. Even hubby is enjoying them, and he needs to put on weight!
Sweetserendipity - you can't leave, you're not allowed! I enjoy reading your posts/ideas and I'm sure everyone else does too..0 -
I'm back! Had a wonderfully fantastic and hot holiday - spent it with my lovely family, doing fabulous things and had a great birthday too. Managed to catch a load of sunshine, had to buy a pair of flip-flops, and used up a whole bottle of suntan lotion. Flights were long and tedious but that's part of the package!
Of course, LC was low on the list of things to work at, though I ate very little but had buckets of carbs in the form of white wine. :j
Was actually back last week but not home until today as work kept me down south - 2 suitcases worked well.
Hotels down south were my downfall, had a carbfest last week but have jumped right back on the wagon today and am not looking forward to the withdrawal symptons over the next few days.
Haven't read all through the thread yet - but good to see the regulars and a couple of new posters too. Now need to raid the freezer for food, not doing any shopping until tomorrow. Already eaten a pile of cheese...
Hope everyone is OK.0 -
butternut squash has been roasted and scooped out ready for soup making!!
While I am a new fan of BNS does anyone have any tips for cutting the damn thing?!?!?
I think I have lost about 10lbs just trying to slice it down the middle!!!!!!0 -

mazzers & alias, sorry, shouldn't have pointed out your absences, just judging you good peeps by my own rubbish standards
:rotfl:Dont be daft, i'd have pointed out your absence, in fact, i was suspicious of alias myself.
My day off on thurs was very bad, i'd tell you all what i ate but you'd be shell shocked.
Welcome home Gers, glad you had a fab time, wish i could afford a hol this year.0 -
Day two of getting back on track and its been good
Brekkie was a shake, ham salad and cheese for lunch ( tried the St Agur cheese, omg its fab) and just had half a cooked chicken.
Not as busy as expected in work as both clinics only half-ish full, so not too tired.
Going to watch come dine on catch up now with me cuppa.. oh and i've still not used sweeteners0 -
