I'm a sucker for all things feline.
Good morning all :hello:
Feeling better today, don't know what was wrong yesterday but just didn't feel quite right. Didn't have the thick head so not sure if it was ketosis.
Anyway, my menu for today
B - Mercy's mexican fudge, warmed
L - Mercy's mexican fudge, warmed!! With salad leaves & coleslaw.
D - Mazzer's lasagne (that's if I can stretch the leftover bolognaise sauce) Will have with salad leaves & coleslaw.
Didn't touch a drop of the Bailey's last night so I won't be joining angel in the naughty corner!!
Mercy, I haven't had that 'reaction' with the chillis in the mexican fudge but maybe after my 2 pieces today?! :rotfl: Stand clear everyone!! :rotfl:
HC, twas the creme eggs that stalled me!!
Have a good day peeps.
you would likely get a 'reaction' after my versionI truly loaded it with the little thin green chillis and a fat red one for colour. just love them. Hot enough to make my nose sweat and lightly steam up my glasses.
think the idea is to make it to your own spec, I made one with other stuff too and was disappointed it didn't burn
also, I can't scoff as much at once when I'm sweating:rotfl:
Think it was the chocolate fudge cake that stalled me

What is the world coming to?? tut tut
Its another beautiful day here
and i'm going into town to get my coconut.

Thought everyone had run off  I managed to miss a day and didnt realise there was a new thread, still trying to catch up, lol.
Ive had a reasonable couple of days. Going out now for coconut oil and the makings for mazzers lasagne and mercys mexican fudge, yum.
We took my sister grandkids to Disney Tues night. They wanted McDonalds which was fine cos I just ate the burger but at the show one of them passed the candyfloss and without thinking I had it down my throat in a second. Pure sugar  I cant even say I enjoyed it. lol0 -
Crikey Mercy, why does the Johnny Cash song 'ring of fire' spring to mind?!
Just sat down to log in after spending most of the day spring-cleaning & had to suddenly jump up & go to the loo. Fast!! :rotfl: Sorry if that's a bit tmi!! :rotfl: I had my second piece of mexican fudge about an hour ago so I'm thinking this is my 'reaction' to those chillis!! :rotfl: I had what can only be described as 'the skidoos'!! :rotfl:
Think next time I make it (& there will definitely be a next time because it really is yummy) I might put ham & spring onion in instead of the chillis.0 -

I must say, since I started with the fudge I haven't had a problem with 'congestion' Haven't dared to take fibresure either, quite MSE, really :rotfl:

I am soo fancying some cake or a Tunnocks choc wafer (from fridge, nice n chewy) today.
Couldnt get unsweetened coconut, tried H&B and another health food shop, told to try Julian Graves but is out of town and too far to go just for that. Anyone know if the supermarkets do it
I dont think a pepperami will quite cut it today:sad:
TOTM imminent so could be that
Can anyone give me a recipe for pancakes using soya flour as i got some yesterday and never used before.
Have found some recipes now on youtube..0 -
Oooooooooooh, thats better..
Used almond flour but was a bit too almondy for me but it did the trick. I had a squirt of agave nectar on top, not low carb but doesn't raise insulin levels.. allegedly
Think i will experiment with different combinations of flours next time and post the recipes.
Noticed in the usa sites they are atkins friendly and had no sugar syrups.
:j :j Just looked in lowcarb megastore and davinci syrups 0g carbs 750ml bottle £5.99 is expensive but a big bottle, lots of flavours, gonna get cherry :j :j :j0 -
Sorry for lowering the tone earlier!!
But seriously, if you make Mercy's Mexican Fudge, BEWARE THE CHILLIS!! :rotfl:
mazzers, well done for resisting the Tunnocks choc wafer!! We have them in our cupboard, along with the Tunnocks Tea Cakes!!
I got some Whitworths desiccated coconut from Tesco yesterday, the only 'good' make was an organic one but the carbs were higher. Think the one I got was 6. something carbs per 100g. Looking forward to making those coconut muffins!!
Thought there was a pancakes recipe on Mercy's link? Not sure if it was soy or almond flour though but wouldn't it be the same measurements?
Where is everyone today?? Hope no one else is going AWOL!!
I'm getting some work done in the house tomorrow so won't be able to post as much (did I hear someone say YAY?!).
Oh, by the way mazzers, I had your lasagne tonight & it was lovely, although my cheese sauce was a bit runny cos didn't follow your instructions!!0 -
Cover your eyes kissit. :rolleyes:I am having a seriously crap day! Got loads to worry about at the mo', none of which I can do anything about in a hurry.So........I had a packet of peanuts and 2 Atkins shakes (1 strawberry and 1 chocolate
). I feel like a right pig and I'm bloated which is partly due to the above and partly due to it being TOTM. I've also had so much cheese today, you can now just call me Jerry.
AND...I have toothache....in a tooth that's bothered me for over a year and has had root canal work done on it. Dentist says there's nothing wrong with it but I've never thought my dentist was any good tbh.
Bet I put on about 2 stone this week.
Sorry for the self indulgent whine.
Hope everyone's bums cool down soon. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

I didnt say yay.. i love catching up with the posts. including your pretty pink ones.
My cheese sauce was runny-ish too but it didnt matter as the tomato and mince was nice and thick.
Got one piece left for tomorrow. yum0
