Yep definitely, I want to tell people all about low-carbing and how it could change their lives for the better, but when I've tried in the past I've been treated like I'm bonkers!

I suppose the low-fat idea is so firmly stuck in our minds as the healthy way to eat that people really can't grasp any other idea, we've all been brainwashed.

When I first started researching modern health problems and the causes, which led me to low carbing, the idea seem ludicrous...I really struggled to get my head around the theory that you can eat fat...and get thin LOL! I felt so guilty the first time I bought butter, fullfat mayo, chicken with skin on etc etc.....:rotfl:

Crafty-gal - a forum like this one for people with weight problems would be fab, there's so much support, encouragement and help here :T
Hi Did you see program the other night it was on quite late and it was about the sponsers for the olympics being mickey dees cadbury and coca coler ,how all thease foods were high in sugar and carbs then they looked how much sugar in things like special k ,and low and behold it was the carbs and sugars that were making people fat ,Have gone back to atkins this week and in 3 days 4 pounds off !! it allways works for me ,Why do people pick holes in low carbing ,Have now found its best to say nothing especially at work .

Stoopid quotes are not working for me!!

    Morning :hello:

Can someone take my self-destruct button off me, please?! :o

No, I'm not back on track today :(Can't seem to get my head together.
I'm a bit shocked really, because I've been so good at jumping straight back on the wagon when I've had 'time off' so now I'm wondering why I can't do it this time!!
Hormones are playing silly beggars though, I seem to be in a permanent state of pmt, motm & totm :( so that's definitely playing a part in my current state of mind!!

Anyway, enough wallowing [STRIKE]like a hippo[/STRIKE] in self-pity :o I'm at the hairdressers today, so hopefully that will give me a boost. Dreading the 'sitting infront of the mirror staring at my carby face bit' though. Why do I always follow a positive with a negative?!

crafty, hope you had a fab birthday yesterday & well done on getting straight back onto low-carb!! :j

    See you all later

was that Esther Rantzen's daughter? was going to have an early night, but started watching it and watched to the end. Shoud have recorded it to show my DD (11) who doesnt get cocopopos or frosties for breakfast, no white bread (HM in breadmaker) or fizzy drinks etc. and thinks its not fair cos her most of her friends get these. I do make white bread as an occasional treat and she does get the odd bottle of pop every now and then a fancy cereal. It might help her to understand why I try to feed her healthy foods. Unfortunately she seems to have a sweet tooth.
It was a good program i started watching it and could not beleive all that sugar why do they do it !!

grrr... forgot to go to the shop and get a cauli to rice and have with my curry then realized that one of the side dishes I had was potato (so that went into the bin!) so for tea I have had curry on its own - was very nice! but because I was p!ssed off at forgetting the cauli I thought I would do myself a small voddy and pop but then realised that the pop wasnt diet so I went to the shops got my pop and also 10 cigs :( I was doing soooo well not smoking!!!

ah well - tomorrow is another day!!

More peanuts than you can shake a stick at and 2 chocolate sandwich biscuits.
I can shake sticks a peanuts. That's my problem. They make em covered in 'chocolate' covered in chilli, simply in the casings (this was supposed to make it more difficult to eat so many but it didn't work - put them on a hot radiator for a day or two n they're roasted! Yum)
TOTM is approaching and all my hard work has gone to the wayside. Sodding hormones!

edit: And a bowl of Special K (yoghurt covered version)
Now, you see, I can't see the point of that. 'Bits that the hamster left and cover them with milk so you don't see what you're doing'

Whats happened? we were all doing so well

I've been very good today :A luckily i got back into it ok.

Didnt have my salad, had soup and crispbreads, and didnt get to have the pork steaks as i got a few bargains again this week, while everyone in tesco was waylaid by the reduced pizzas and quiches, they missed the single, big fat sirloin reduced to 90p from £4.50 so i had it, yum, fried with some mushrooms, poured thick cream over it when cooked and added crushed peppercorns, served on a bed of spinach, with a whole pkt of ready prepared broccoli reduced to 20p :)

Also got a small fillet steak reduced to 59p from £2.89 icon14.gif
Cant believe everyone missed the steaks.

Pepperamis 5 pack are half price atm in tesco too :)

Yay! steak commando! I do that when I can :) Go Girrl!

AH, tis hard when you're under the weather, all you wanna do is curl up with comfort food.
Is so nice when you've got something previously prepared, if only we were all as organised as mercy, so much easier to stick to.

Being organised is the only way I can cope. I've got organised about chocolate too this week :rotfl: For me it's the only way. It is also more preferable. I make sure I have 2 chioces for lunches all frozen ther waitung for me. I make cococandy to stop chocolate cravings - tis working btw. I know that if I left myself adrift on a day to day basis I would be rubbish. so I don't do that any longer. Took a while to learn this. :D

So you don't have to believe in the positive - thus letting yourself off. Well, you did ask :rotfl:

sweets I know what you mean about the mirrors at the hair dressers:eek:
you are forced to look at yr carb face for at least an hour..I cant even read a magazine .... cos I need my glasses!!!!:rotfl:,
chin up girl you are not alone...
    is it snack time yet??

OMG! I never see the mirrors at the hairdresser's :rotfl:
They make me laugh. They ask you to remove your glasses so they can do their stuff, then ask you what you think when you aint got em on! THEN have the effrontery to roll eyes when you 'need' your glasses to see what they're on about! POOR show. I make a point of mentioning this but as I go so rarely I have to do this every time :rotfl:
