    Avstar,
yes i am with you there re; health people etc saying stay away from fat ...but most low fat things are full of sugar.

Do you ever feel that we are the ones who can see that the Emperer isn't wearing any clothes????:eek:
I have really thought about starting a forum at home for people with weight problems to meet, chat , surport and exchange ideas.

As this banter on here is so helpful and surportive:think::think:

Yep definitely, I want to tell people all about low-carbing and how it could change their lives for the better, but when I've tried in the past I've been treated like I'm bonkers!

I suppose the low-fat idea is so firmly stuck in our minds as the healthy way to eat that people really can't grasp any other idea, we've all been brainwashed.

When I first started researching modern health problems and the causes, which led me to low carbing, the idea seem ludicrous...I really struggled to get my head around the theory that you can eat fat...and get thin LOL! I felt so guilty the first time I bought butter, fullfat mayo, chicken with skin on etc etc.....:rotfl:

Crafty-gal - a forum like this one for people with weight problems would be fab, there's so much support, encouragement and help here :T

On IPD we have meets several times a year. Met some really great women from there, and bizzarely, none of them looked 'fat fat' if you know what I mean. They just looked like normal women, with pear shapes, or slightly heavier than the norm. And all really well turned out and zippy. I was impressed. It's brilliant. We met at midday and were still going well into the evening, eating all the low carb options from the all bar one menu and pretending red wine had no carbs at all that day...

    Hi Daisy ,
yes I did say forum ....I meant the qualities of a forum but meeting in person ..rather than Silming world or weight watchers....no pressure re; weight just encouragment and swop of knowledge... just like on here..
I really don't think i'd have stuck to my LCing without your stories and tips and knowledge
so bless you one and all you cute low carbers......:rotfl:
I am sounding like the pope now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
