And now have to give up sweeteners in my tea, i dont take them in coffee and only have one in tea and have attempted to stop using them many times but just dont enjoy a cuppa without them, been using them for almost forty years  maybe thats my problem.

I use Splenda. 'Cos Dr Atkins told me to. Just gone to look to see if it has the nasty in it and I glazed over at the Wiki page and gave up. :rotfl:

sweet.....50 minutes! What the heck were they doing?! Bet your bum was numb by then. :D At least your hair was ok, would've been worse if they'd made a mess of it after waiting all that time.

Well I have 10 sheets of plasterboard and 7 lengths of chipboard flooring in my hall. It's supposed to be getting put down/up over the next few days but I'm thinking it's a talking point so I might just leave it there. :rotfl:I'm starving and feel a bit weak just now so I can't really be bothered. I think I'm just going to eat as much as I want/need to just now (as long as it's lc I mean) just till I get past the TOTM. It's almost like a kid eating before a growth spurt. I'm such a rebel...I'm having 3 eggs in my omelette today instead of 2. :D

Splenda is the least horrific of the sweeteners. NOneo f them are really any good for you, but frankly I'd rather lose the weight by keeping myself sane with sweeteners than constantly fall of the wagon because I'm nose-diving into sugary stuff.

Have to admit that my weakness at the moment is martinis. They feel like they're totally allowed because they have no carbs. BUt I know they're naughty. NOm nom nom. Gin, tiny splash of vermouth and a twist of lemon peel, all shaken over ice. I want one now and it's only 10.15. I think I'm ill.

    What a bunch of lushes.

From what I can see, the MArtini in a bottle (you do mean the big bottles of brand-name Martini, ie vermouth, do you?) would be 4 carbs per 100ml, which is pretty low, though you should make sure you're drinking dry martini. I've never had that on its own, just mixed drops of it with my gin. God, wouldn't it be nice to just walk out of work now, all of us, and meet up for a martini session? In case you haven't seen it, and to whet your appetite further: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/video/2010/mar/02/how-to-make-perfect-martini

Mine is Rum & diet coke - what am I doing to myself. I'm in holiday mode because I have today & tomorrow off work & the sun is shining. That sounds like a good enough reason to join the rest of the lushes. :D I've just got back from shopping & getting my hair done & ought to be up & doing jobs. I'm supposed to be staining the skirting boards on the stairs & landing. Maybe a small one would get me in the mood. :rotfl:
