Morning, todays menu: yoghurt, cheesy scrambled eggs, spag bol sauce (not the spaghetti) and alad as usual. I did some baking yesterday, because it was so cold, and it wasn't a good idea. I made ginger shortbread and twinks hobnobs, but couldn't resist eating some and put back on the lb I lost this week. You wouldn't think a few biscuits would make such a difference, so I've got to be really good today and resist the rest. Roll on summer!

If I'm making spag bol I like to steam broccoli to go with mine instead of the pasta.
Made choc chip cookies with DD on Monday and she's upset because I won't eat one. :(
I have ordere cold pressed coconut oil from Akamuti, I liked their website and its fair trade too. I'm still using the KTC stuff on my hair and skin, but not eating it. If it's refined and has trans fats in can they still be absorbed through the skin?

    Maybe.
I know essential oils are, but their molecules are very small, and we were advised ( by a tutor, on a course) not to use if they are 'gone off' iykwim.
Why not keep just for your hair if you are concerned.

A fabulous sunny, slightly blowy day here, perfect for drying washing, so got the machine going like a demon.
Feel quite energetic for a change so might paint the spare bedroom.

Mouseman comes today to see if there's been any success, but i've not seen any droppings so think it may have been.. wish i'd called him sooner, there's no charge.

    See you later

Linni, ribboned courgette is nice instead of pasta too, just use a potato peeler lengthways down the courgette.

Take slow cooker, wipe with damp cloth, dry, put away on high shelf in kitchen cupboard. Go buy a pressure cooker.

    :D

Ignore her newcook, she cant cook anyway ;)

I use mine quite a bit, well, i used to, but dont really have any recipes, i just use it for slow cooking cheaper cuts of meat (usually in a sauce, hence not using it much now)
I'm sure someone will come up with a few recipes tho :)

Also, the best gravy i have had is the schwartz pkt roast chicken, the others (beef lamb etc) are much higher in carbs, i cant remember how many carbs, it's not a lot though if you use a quarter or a third of a pack, i mix mine with meat juices and fat and use the veg water, doesnt give you oodles of gravy but makes a cooked dinner much more acceptable.
