Morning all
Just a quickie as I'm not in a great mood this morning, not trying to steal your thunder (literally), alias, hopefully you are feeling happier today?! Tis family & their so-called friends
Weighed & my bathroom scales say I've lost 1 & a bit lbs, the wii fit says I've lost 2lbs.
Menu for today:
B - omelette??
L - the usual
D - don't know yet??
Will post later when I've calmed down a bit, don't want to vent my spleen on here!! :rotfl:0 -
Hi - today it's yoghurt (again) cheesie scrambled eggs and lamb leftovers & salad. It's really cold and damp here and it's making me feel very hungry so I've had more yoghurt, I've only lost a 1b this week so I',m a bit disappointed but I do find it easier to keep on track when it's sunny and warm. I like the weightlossresourches site, it's amazing how many carbs there are in some of veg.0

Hi All,
Its my first day today, was up a stupid o'clock and didnt feel like eating straight away. Was at work at 6.30 though and starving by 9 so ate the chicken and some salad. So only had salad left until i got someone to grab me some extra bits - more chicken and some swiss cheese so i should be fine until home time. I have only had 1 cup of tea with soya milk so far (not sure i should be having this?) Surprised im not missing my caffine fix yetThink im ok with my water too, had 2 glasses before i left and now have a 1L bottle on my desk so as long as thats gone by home time im on my way.
Dinner will be steak, cauli, brocolli, aspargus and a cheese sauce made with cream and cheese.
I think im kinda on the right track, been added all the carbs, measured the veggies in my salad. Lets hope so anyway, cause im sure it will be cheaper to lose the weight rather than buying a new wardrobe! Im def going to try and eat before i leave the house tomorrow though.0 -
Hello all, good to see some big losses here! Typically, on my official weigh in day it says I've only lost a pound rather than two, but I'm trying not to be bothered by it. At least it's moving downwards. Am going to the gym at lunchtime to do a run (second week of cool running, for about the millionth time) so hopefully that will spur things on.
B: greek yog, frozen berries and toasted flaked almonds
L: tuna mayo saladShepherd's pie
brazil nuts for snacks0 -
Hi all,
Been to the docs for my blood test results, kidney , liver, calcium fine, cholesterol.. 3.5... ta dasugars up though, had another Bg today, and a fasting one next week, hopefully it'll be lower as i think i might be back on track
Welcome to newcomers to the thread.
Thought i'd mention i'm at my all time heaviest(1lb over) but in my defence awaiting totm so that'll be about 4lbs.
At least it'll look good next time i go and have lost half a stone0 -
hello again all!!! long time no type!!
I will be low carbing again soon - am now at my heaviest (12st 7lb)I have tried to be good and eat healthy things and low calory counting and have not lost a dot in the 4 weeks I have been doing it so have decided to go back to low carbing as I know it works for me!!
I wont be able to do it for another couple of weeks though as I have loads of food in my cupboards and freezer that needs using up and I also need to start making proper lists of foods that I am going to buy and meals I am going to make!!
am also determined not to tell my friends this time as its always the same response 'low carbing - thats dangerous isnt it?!' or 'its just a fad diet and you will only put it all back on when you give up!'0 -

Most people think, eat less, do more, lose weight.. rubbish, it might work for some but we are all individual, these people dont have a problem with blood glucose and insulin, i would bloody volunteer to be locked in a room and let them feed me their 'healthy' diet, and see what happens in a month.. sod all..
I tried the Greek doctors diet for a month, (low gi) but lost nothing, not an ounce, too high in carbs for me.
I dont even tell the doc or the nurse, i know what they'll say, i usually say i've cut out bread and am eating salads, lots of green veg, olive oil, some nuts, berries and white meat and fish
I omit the cheese, bacon, steak, butter and full fat yogurt0 -
All is calm
Good luck angie, sounds like you're doing ok so far, your 'caffeine headache' might kick in but it will wear off, not nice at the time though.
linni, well done on the lb off!! Never mind thinking/saying only a lb, it's a lb off & that's great!! :j
And you, sarah!! Don't worry, that's happened to me too, a sneaky weigh during the week & then a lb mysteriously jumps back on come official weigh-day!! Serves you/me right for peeking!! :rotfl:
mazzers, glad your blood tests came back clear
Welcome back, newcook, the usual suspects are still here
Decided to have a 2 egg cheese/mushroom/ham/green pepper omelette for brekkie. Going to have my crispbreads & garlic sausage in a minute & will have the soup late afternoon.
Thought I would try a carbonara for dinner as I have cream & streaky bacon to use up. Will have with courgette ribbons & green beans. That's the plan anyway.0
