*drum roll*
I've finally lost some weight
*Ta da!*
2lb down. After nearly four weeks of nothing shifting. Still, not holding my breath as I went to a kids' party today and although I was really good the whole way through I had some veggie chilli at the end, which was made with tvp type stuff, which I know isn't very low carb. Never mind. At least the scales did move, so I'm not going mad.0 -
Butternut squash soup
Well done.. i'm jealous!
Well no flipping wonder I never got it *inserts loads of roll eyes smilies*. That's BSS, not BNS. Or BNSS if you really wanted. But not BNS.
Ok....ask me. Go on, ask me. Go on, go on, go on, (in the stylee of the Father Ted Housekeeper).......
Ok I'll tell you....I lost 8 pounds this week. I'll probably lose sod all next week but for now, I'm feeling smug.
Well done to sarah and anyone else who's lost this week. :T
Well I'm having a day cleaning and ironing today. I've been quite good lately and have been trying to keep on top of things instead of letting them all overrun me. I chomped my way through 3 large washing baskets full of clean clothes that needed ironed last week (it took me days) and I'm determined it doesn't get that bad again. I'd let a lot of things slip and it was all helping to make me feel low I think. I do kinda believe in that thing about tidy house, tidy mind and if you're surrounded by clutter then you feel worse. I does seem to affect me anyway, so I'm trying to tackle more than just my weight, and hopefully I'll be a happy happy bunny soon. :rotfl:Then I'll throw out that moaning faced git I live with and I'll go get laid by some toyboy with big muscles and long hair. :rotfl:Oh whoops, I said that out loud.

Thats just how i feel when i've let things slip, the washing and drying can overun me, then nothing else gets done and i dont know where to start
When i had a bad back, i learned how to iron sitting down (i flipping had to, no-one else would do it! )
I now get all my ironing out,, get a cuppa and a film on, and i will iron for hours ( it sometimes needs two films )0 -
Morning peeps :hello:
Lots of insults flying around, but I'm just gonna rise above it!!:rotfl:
Go alias!! 8lbs off is FANTASTIC!! :j Well done!!
Not forgetting sarah!! Well done on the 2lbs off, that must feel great, especially because you had been stalling!! :j
Went out for a meal last night, the worst meal I've ever hadChicken in a port, stilton & cream(?) sauce - the sauce looked like brown sludge & smelt/tasted disgusting. Won't be going there again. Btw, this wasn't the moors pub, it was waaaay too foggy to go there, unfortunately.
Menu for today:
B - 3 reheated piggies in blankets
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS/BSS/BNSS soup
D - chilli with green beans & cauli mash
Had more red wine last night, plus some S&V peanuts, plus 2 more crispbreads as I was so hungry!!
Happy Sunday everyone :wave:0 -

mazzers the book is Dr bernsteins diabetes solution. He is a type 1 diabetic but the book is aimed at type 2 as well.
he says by normalising blood sugar with a low carb diet you can prevent the complications which can occur with diabetes and in some cases reverse the damage that has already occurred . it very interesting the only thing is its all american so weights, blood sugar readings etc are all different to ours (but he explains how to convert them )
breakfast : scrambled egg and 2 slices bacon
lunch : shin beef casserole veg and mashed cauli
tea: not sure yet0 -
Yesterday I had, yoghurt, veggie burger, pork steak with salad, sounds awful but I eat the salad as if it were crisps. Today it's yoghurt, roast lamb, brocolli and (hopefully) leftover lamb with salad. I had a piece of choccie yestday as a treat, felt really bloated afterwards so had a crunchie salad instead, and let everyone else eat the rest.0

soup cooking, gotta say, roasted in its skin it makes a great substitute for jkt potato, if its really lc i will be doing just that
the skin is lush.
Trying to be good today, cant be letting Alias get one over on me
Was great on Fri, but by 3pm on Sat, i was craving some choc and unfortunately, someone in work had brought in a massive box of choc digestives (and theres only seven on our dept, be ages before they're scoffed) so i caved and had three
Putting it behind me and starting again.0 -
End of the first week and I have not cheated (knowingly anyway) will weigh in the morning same time as last week and see if I have lost any weight.
I have not had a potato, rice , pasta or slice of bread all week which was a hugh part of my diet before.
The headaches are now clearing, thanks for the warning on that one, if i hadnt been told that they would clear i may have given up.
Cauli has become my favourite food, so versatile and i have done things with it i had never even dreamt of before!!
Will update tomorrow when I see what the scales say.0 -
Well so much for my busy day. I've done the washing and some of the ironing but all of a sudden for no apparent reason.....I'm in a mood. A real serious 'woe is me' mood. So I'm now sat back down on the pc. I'm not even hungry.
(< my bad :rotfl:)
I wish I could do a 'Hiro' and freeze time so I could freeze my family and stop them killing each other whilst I was away and then I'd sod off to the Bahamas for a week. Or maybe I'll need to wait a wee bit yet....I'm not quite the right size for a grass skirt. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0
