I must be getting old because all that guitar stuff at the start is just ear grating noise to me. It was better when it stopped and the singing started. There was a tune then.:rotfl:
:rotfl: I know what you mean, is a bit guitar-y for me too, but he sounds like a brill guitarist to my senile ears.
And of course, i love my boys singingbut think his voice is more suited to ballady type songs.

Thanks for the song comments mercy
I think he needs a cheese grater on his vocal chords for rock
I didnt know H&B did coconut oil, will pop along and get some.
Diamonds, i think the golden flax is more expensive than the other one but have the same carb count.
I freshly grind mine in a magic bullet as they keep longer if bought whole and go rancid quickly if bought already ground.0 -
Heya!
As we have so many new and interesing peole joining us I think it's only right to
Welcome you all wholheartedly!
We are a great bunch o funny folk who enjoy all new input and helping with enquiries.
Glad you found us!
Take a look at the first page. It has links to several low carb ways of doing things.
It is generally regarded best to find a plan and stick to it. Sometimes they contradict each other. If you just take a bit from here and there you may not get the best results.
Dr D's plan is a good intro to low carbing if the thought of a strict 'DIET' frightens the life out of you and sends you running for the bisciuts :rotfl: I was one of them. There's no shame in taking it one step at a time
Also on the first page there's a link to low carb recipe list. Not all recipes are for all diets especially Atkins induction. You are all intelligent enough to work them out for yourselves if you are following a plan and sussing out what you can do and when. Like I say - buy the book
When you cut out all high carbs - wheat in any form - SUGAR, bread, pasta, rice, spuds, low fat options, you are doing your body the greatest service. These items
can cause more harm than good. The other upside to stopping this type of eating is to reduce the amounts of preservatives in your diet. Never wondered why Warburtons bread lasts so long?
Fact - prolonged exposure to preservatives - biocides - can cause a sensitisation to such ingredients. If your family wants bread, get a bread maker (sure there's a few on freecycle) and just make bread. Rather than the tripe we are expected to buy. You can't have any of course cos you're a low carber now :rotfl:
As a last aside - sugar is easily reduced, solubilised by saliva and swallowed in the mouth. The real harm to teeth comes from potato bits. The ones that stick everywhere. Crisps are a real problem in this area. The bacteria and other tings which cause tooth decay get a better welcome from spud than sugar. It's not often I have something to say in favour of sugar, but it's less harmful to teeth than spud
Who'da thort it?
OK, enlightenment (rant) over :rotfl:
Hope you are all well n happy! Keep the faith and keep on low carbing! It's called loving yourself in real speak :rotfl:
Big love

Not at all, his voice is suited for what was asked of it. Sure he could 'ramp it up' on heavier tracks if the need was there.
I didnt know H&B did coconut oil, will pop along and get some.
Yes and it tastes the best of any I've tried.
Diamonds, i think the golden flax is more expensive than the other one but have the same carb count.

Reckon each alone is about £10 so try both for £15! Tis a saving and I for one rate them both.

Oh I just can't stop myself, had so much to do tonight as well :rotfl:
Don't go thinking that flax seeds do anything towards omega 3 loading. They just don't work to the same extent that good fish (for preference) or fish sourced omega 3 does. Check it out, or trust me. It's not of a type our bodies use with any real take up. What flax seeds do do is increase our options foodwise and provide a good source of fibre. Not to be sniffed at. lol just read what I typed :rotfl:
However a well functioning bowel which is deprived of high carbs emits gas that doesn't smell bad, if it smells at all. Why am I whispering???? We low carbers don't fart the same! Our emissions are less noxious! Let's celebrate the fact we don't smell bad anymore! :j
Ok went rant there, but I'm right!:j:T:D
Enjoy the new stinky-free you!

found a jar of coconut oil in the local 'green' grocers so assume its organic. Its labelled KTC produce of Sri Lanka. £2.50 for a 500ml jar. Had a couple of spoonfuls and tried some on my skin...now need to go and find out how much I should be 'eating'. Going to use it on my face at bedtime and try it on my hair tomorrow morning.0

Hi fruity
Coconut oil on hair is best given at least 1/2 hour. It washes out well as long as you don't put loads on your scalp. That can make you keep washing it til there's no good been done at all - trust me :rotfl:
Hope you like it, don't forget to have some warming for when you emerge from the shower / bath as then you can slather yourself in it and truly feel blessed
Big love

Morning all :hello:
Wow, Mercy, you were on a roll last night!! :rotfl: Lots of brilliant advice, as always. :T
Btw, you been watching QI?? That sugar/potato info was on there the other night!! Love that programme
Tis grey & misty here today, supposed to be going out for meal tonight, but I don't fancy driving back in the dark along the moors roads if it's still like this. Might have to be postponed again. Bum.
Menu for today:
B - 4 piggies in blankets (got another 6 going spare if anyone wants one?!)
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS soup
D - to be decided??
Had half a bottle of red last night with a few S&V peanuts & 2 more crispbreads, yum yum!! Love weekends.
Happy low-carb days everyone :wave:0 -
What's BNS soup?
Day 5 over yesterday btw, still no cheating.I am amazed. :rotfl:
*waves to all*Herman - MP for all!0
