Why not make something like a 6 egg sausage frittata the night before, portion it up into 3 and zap it in the micro the next morning?

Some people get out of the concept of breakfast food altogether, and just have a smaller portion of a day time meal , it might sound odd to have chicken and veg in the morning, but TBH its quite odd to have chocco clusters with cows milk when you think about it.

There is also advocado or hard boiled eggs with ham ?

    Hello
Do you have access to a microwave at work? I also leave for work at 7 so I make cheesy scrambled eggs in the microwave the night before in a 'lock & lock' container. I leave them a bit underdone & then finish off in the microwave at work. They're really nice at about 9am by which time I'm starving!

If you can't cook at work what about slices of smoked salmon wrapped round full fat cream cheese. I know it's expensive but I have this occasionally as a treat if I'm not going to my normal office.

You could also take a hard boiled egg & some cubes of cheese & maybe some full fat mayo for dipping.

Breakfast doesn't have to be traditional stuff. Why not cook up a batch of chicken legs at the weekend & have one (or 2 if your really hungry) of those.

Glad to hear you're on back on track Mazzers & well done on the blood test results. Fantastic news. :j I love fresh tuna too. I cook it in the oven with cream cheese & pesto on top. YUM. I might have that tomorrow come to think of it.

I'm still doing OK. I've now lost half a stone since the beginning of the year & want to lose another half then I'll be happy. I'm keeping up with the exercise too & can actually see a difference in my midriff! If I carry on like this my tankinis might be replaced by bikinis for the summer holiday!!!!! I haven't worn a bikini since I had my 'children' & they're 30 & 33 now.

Well done everyone else who is losing. :T

Woo hoo, lc has kicked in, i'm not hungry at all now, eat your heart out Alias :p

Had scrambled eggs and two sausages at 8.30, wasnt hungry before going into work at 1.45 so waited til my break at 4.30 and had a ham salad, got home 8.45 and had BNS soup, and two GG crispbreads with butter and pate.

Had some reductions from tesco too, 2 x pks trimmed fine beans for 20p each, two cheese/tom quiches 60p each (wont eat the pastry) my fave cheese half price (cws with mango and ginger) a curry usually £2.20 now 60p and a Ken Hom chinese for my boyo for 60p :j ( yes, we do actually say boyo a lot )

Savoy cabbages are a good price there atm, just 50p each, so will be making more cabbage/bns soup :)

Well done to all those losing, i hope to be joining the ranks this week ;)

Dobie i fancy that tuna recipe, will give it a go.

Teeni, cold sausages and boiled eggs are good too and you can munch on those while driving to work :)
I sometimes just have yogurt with berries.

    Way to go mazzers. :D

Well I'm so very tired this morning. My arms and legs feel like lead balloons and I have sore shins.

I went for a long walk on Monday and yesterday I spent the day ripping off plasterboard and lugging rubble bags so I suspect it's fallout from that. (Just shows how unfit I really am if two days of 'action' can floor me :o.)

I know I need to get my fitness levels up because I'm working at the level of a slug right now, but it's hard when you just feel tired and sore all the time. My heart beats like the clappers as soon as I break a sweat. (And no, I'm NOT going swimming before anyone kindly suggests that as a more gentle form of exercise :p:D.) Hopefully losing more weight will make it a little easier to get going.

You wouldn't believe how fit and strong I used to be......it used to be that OH would hand me the jar to open, kind of thing....and I'd be the one lugging the lengths of wood around etc. It's annoying how weak I've let myself become, both physically and mentally iyswim.

Ohhhh that's all a bit deep for this time in the morning isn't it?! :rotfl:

Anyway, any suggestions what to do with a long flat bit of pork my OH bought me? It's kinda like a long steak. confused0024.gif Other than grilling it and sticking an egg on top, I'm stuck for ideas. (I was never a willing cook, remember.) :rotfl:

Have a happy day all. :D

Morning, todays menu: yoghurt, cheesy scrambled eggs, spag bol sauce (not the spaghetti) and alad as usual. I did some baking yesterday, because it was so cold, and it wasn't a good idea. I made ginger shortbread and twinks hobnobs, but couldn't resist eating some and put back on the lb I lost this week. You wouldn't think a few biscuits would make such a difference, so I've got to be really good today and resist the rest. Roll on summer!
