I'd lost half a pound finally yesterday, but it seems to be back on today. Balls.

Would that be tennis balls or snow balls?! :rotfl:

Agree with G&B, have you noticed your clothes feeling looser??
Have you got much to lose?? I know I lose more because I've still got stones (plural) to lose!! :o

Btw, just been on FB & looks like daisy's hubby is home from hospital :j
    Hope all goes well. XX

I have plenty to lose, sadly. I know that low carbing works as I lost 2.5 stone a few years ago.

I don't know about clothes feeling loser. Maybe a tiny bit, but then I did lose the 6lbs. I'm going to keep going as I have no choice really; we want to have another baby and I really feel I need to lose more weight first.

Also, does anyone have the definitive answer on chewing gum? It seems tohave a carb count on it but surely you're not eating it so it doesn't count? Of course it's sugar free. Maybe that's what's stalling me!

    week 18

Got some G&B 85% choc yesterday , never had it before , and first choc since October when I had my moment of clarity concerning the weight. Makes a change to almonds and pork puffs anyway.

Nice to see everyone doing so well. I think another 6 weeks or so and I will be on maintenance, which is where I will find it hard, I'm more all or nothing. The reality is LC controls my appetite, and I simply dont eat anywhere near the same amount of food, a bit of carbs and I will be back on the munchie train :D

Boiled a ham today, & some nice cabbage which seems in season at the mo and was very good with olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper , plus cauli mash with spring onions in.

Yesterday was stir fry , which although is quick and easy, I always find it a bit disappointing.

Just in case anyone needs anything from Holland & Barratt...they have a 'buy one get one half price' promo going on until the 18th of this month.

I bought some of those crispbreads that sweet mentioned but I haven't tried them yet so dont know if they were a good buy or a waste of money. :rotfl:

Anyway, if you use a lot of flax seed etc, maybe now's the time to stock up?

Mercy (or anyone else who's made it) does the Mexican fudge taste strongly of chillies?

I'm browsing the recipes again as I can't remember half of what I used to eat and I came across the fudge one. Not sure if I fancy it or not, lol.

The mex fudge tastes of however many chillis you put in it :) I have had same with strong sprin onions, serious ham, choritzo, anything basically with a strong flavour or mix em with slivers of tomato. It's v versatile!

Got an omlette setting - back in a bit

Just had a better chance to catch up. Sorry alias - hadn't realised the q had been answered, at least we all agree :) Actually I'd say add as many middlings as you want for the fudge, I did it in sections one time to assess what I like - but I would :rotfl:

I found this thread a couple of days ago and have been lurking. I've done Atkins in the past (successfully) and have just started making a real effort to low carb (7 lbs lost in the last 10 days :j)
I have a question. I've noticed coconut oil mentioned a lot, what's that all about? please?

    Fruity

Coconut oil is the best thing you can do for yourself. Take it as a supplement, decant a bit and keep it for personal use. I use it as a hair pre wash conditioner, night cream - less visible wrinkles than anything else I've tried :j but not really for daytime use:rotfl: Also perfect for body moisturising. It's not cheap but if you factor in not buying body or night creams or extra special hair conditioners it can really become a money saver too! I have v long hair and generally straighten it. It has a tendency to fly away (and never seem any shorter when I cut it) If I take the smallest amount and rub that through the length after washing, it straightens like a dream and does not feel the need to go all 'Crystal Tipps' on me :)

Those crispbreads are just lovely. You got summat to spread onto. I personally like spreading em with pate or cream cheese and topping em with scrambled egg.
Also with whatever brekkie. Just do 2 a day though initially - at 85% bran caution is advised :rotfl:

    Hi all

How can a bit of snow mess things up so much? We all had experience lately but It took us 3x as long to get home tonight  After 1 INCH of snow  What a bunch of unmentionables. Anyway, will cook the roast tomorrow. When hopefull I can be arised.

B - last of mex fudge, 2 sausies and mayo
L - beef n veg curry on sqashed cauli
D - omlet of eggs, cheese, chillis, finely chopped green beans - mushies - spring onion, topped with thinly sliced tomato.

Will be having the omlet as brekkie/snack tomorrw morn too. It's nice cold.

Big love to all, hope you are all well n happy this 'snowy' eve!

No snow, just very misty out, looks like victorian London, wouldnt be shocked if i saw Jack the ripper out murdering someone... i want my *rolls eyes* back dammit!

Dr DD, i cant have any carbs either or its a downward spiral for me too.

Fruity, dont lurk, join in :)

Sarah, i found that a small amount of milk in tea was stalling me, maybe its too much cheese or yogurt, berries or nuts, try sticking to lc veg, salad and meat, i dunno, just a suggestion :)

Now, all i need to do is follow my own excellent advice :D
