*tiptoes in to say I had bacon and eggs this morning*

(Saying nothing else as I'm done setting myself up for a fall, lol.) :silenced:

I ignored the Special K strawberry and chocolate version today which is the biggest acheivement I've had in months if the truth be known (sad as that sounds).

Will be reading and lurking a bit but not chatting too much as I'm anti social and a bit pathetic just now. :o:D

    Hi alias! :D

Been quite efficient today, surprised myself :rotfl:

Mexican fudge is done and sausies finishing off in oven! Beef mince defrosting in sink and all washing up / dishwasher stuff done.

Had 3 eggs scrambled on cream cheese covered crispbreads. V filling so should be sorted for a while :rotfl:

sweets I used 4 eggs this time, hope it's enough :D didn't follow the recipe as couldn't be bothered checking on puter, will let you know if it's ok when it's cooled enough.

Well, the buzzers gone so off to take out sausies and chop some veg. Have high hopes of getting all the cooking done after my earlyish start so may be back later.

1 inch of snow here so am staying in today. :rotfl: Have plenty to do!

It is 4 eggs, thank goodness, just checked. Nice to know I hadn't messed up :)
Asda do 18 mixed weight free range jobs for about £3.30 btw

    Sausies!

    Well that's 4 packed lunches sorted :)

Today's stoo is mostly green :rotfl:

Has leeks, celery, cabbage, chilli and green beans as veg and 2 packs (on whoops) of bacon. Also herbs, garlic and lots of black peppercoorns and pepper grounds. Tastes rather nice. Didn't buy any other veggies for it as the fridge was groaning under the weight of leeks and cabbage very MSE :rotfl:

Am having a break before starting the curry, will make it to the strains of gardener's question time at two. By God I know how to live :rotfl:

    Happy afternoon!

I'm just realising how much I missed you lot. I don't laugh much these days but I raised a chuckle at that. :rotfl:

I really wish I lived nearer to half of you, I think there's a number of you who would be quite good as mates. :D (Icing or not!) :p

Well, that's the curry and sqashed cauli cooling. Wow! Reckon I'll get 5 outa this so 9 lunches for work are basically sorted. What with my other cooking I reckon it'l be at least a fortnight before I HAVE to do any more. :j May well make a coupla chicken khormas at some point - tis imperative to have a choice when opening the freezer in a morn. One does not want to become jaded with what's on offer as that way lies potential disaster!

'Oh don't fancy that will try to get something on way / from the butty van / steal off mates / just eat sweets from the ever present charity sweet box - well it's for charity' etc. NOT FOR ME! But only because I have something better on offer. :A

I must tell you what I got myself for xmas.

A Circulon 24in anodised frying / saute pan. £34 from Amazon. Just made the curry in it. Perfect. :D Has good weight, good rep, excellent non stick powers, fits my larger ring on the stove top perfectly, cooks evenly, cleans easily and looks good!

I got it to replace my previous anodised frying pan. Got that from asda for £10ish 5 years ago. It started to fail in the middle around Sept last so it had been on my mind. We do secret santa and I had just done all that overtime so I was lucky enough to have a bit of spare :D - would think I'd done well spending just that on a night out now it's a perfect pan for a goodly while :rotfl:

Is this growing up? Or have I been infected by MSE? (did I mention it was a bargain? :))

    Love to all!

Have to admit to enjoying kitchen stuff too Mercy - perhaps not quite so openly though!

Am now drinking green tea with a squeeze of lemon juice in. This was an attempt to use up some withering lemons and limes and has worked really well.

Picked up a recipe card today in Waitrose - here's the link to the Szechuan pork with pak choi http://www.waitrose.com/recipe/Szechuan_pork_with_pak_choi.aspx - and on the card it gives the nutrition as@

    per serving (without the rice)
    256kcals
    3.4g carbs
    2.9g sugar
    11.6g fat
    2.1g sat fat
    1.7g salt

I don't really like Pak Choi, it always seems stringy, so would miss this out. I would also cut down on the soy sauce and probably use less sesame oil or change it for another oil, though the taste would suffer!

I hope everyone is fine and dandy, and if you're not then please have some good vibrations from me.
